Heb 4, 1-16

1 Therefore, we should be afraid, lest the promise of entering into his rest may be relinquished, and some of you may be judged to be lacking. 2 For this was announced to us in a similar manner as to them. But the mere hearing of the word did not benefit them, since it was not joined together with a faith in those things that they heard. 3 For we who have believed shall enter into rest, in the same manner as he said: “So it is as I have sworn in my wrath: They shall not enter into my rest!” And certainly, this is when the works from the foundation of the world have been finished. 4 For, in a certain place, he spoke about the seventh day in this manner: “And God rested on the seventh day from all his works.” 5 And in this place again: “They shall not enter into my rest!” 6 Therefore, this is because certain ones remain who are to enter into it, and those to whom it was announced first did not enter into it, because of unbelief. 7 Again, he defines a certain day, after so much time, saying in David, “Today,” just as it was stated above, “If today you hear his voice, harden not your hearts.” 8 For if Jesus had offered them rest, he would never have spoken, afterward, about another day. 9 And so, there remains a Sabbath of rest for the people of God. 10 For whoever has entered into his rest, the same has also rested from his works, just as God did from his. 11 Therefore, let us hasten to enter into that rest, so that no one may fall into the same example of unbelief. 12 For the Word of God is living and effective: more piercing than any two-edged sword, reaching to the division even between the soul and the spirit, even between the joints and the marrow, and so it discerns the thoughts and intentions of the heart. 13 And there is no created thing that is invisible to his sight. For all things are naked and open to the eyes of him, about whom we are speaking. 14 Therefore, since we have a great High Priest, who has pierced the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, we should hold to our confession. 15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to have compassion on our infirmities, but rather one who was tempted in all things, just as we are, yet without sin. 16 Therefore, let us go forth with confidence toward the throne of grace, so that we may obtain mercy, and find grace, in a helpful time.

Heb 4, 1-16

Verš 3
For we who have believed shall enter into rest, in the same manner as he said: “So it is as I have sworn in my wrath: They shall not enter into my rest!” And certainly, this is when the works from the foundation of the world have been finished.
Ž 95:11 - Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth exult; let the sea and all its fullness be moved.

Verš 4
For, in a certain place, he spoke about the seventh day in this manner: “And God rested on the seventh day from all his works.”
Gn 2:2 - And on the seventh day, God fulfilled his work, which he had made. And on the seventh day he rested from all his work, which he had accomplished.
Ex 20:11 - For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, and the sea, and all the things that are in them, and so he rested on the seventh day. For this reason, the Lord has blessed the day of the 42 Sabbath and sanctified it.
Ex 31:17 - between me and the sons of Israel, and a perpetual sign. For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, and in the seventh he ceased from work.”

Verš 7
Again, he defines a certain day, after so much time, saying in David, “Today,” just as it was stated above, “If today you hear his voice, harden not your hearts.”
Ž 95:7 - Bring to the Lord, you natives of the nations, bring to the Lord glory and honor.
Heb 3:7 - Because of this, it is just as the Holy Spirit says: “If today you hear his voice,

Verš 12
For the Word of God is living and effective: more piercing than any two-edged sword, reaching to the division even between the soul and the spirit, even between the joints and the marrow, and so it discerns the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
Kaz 12:11 - The words of the wise are like a goad, and like nails deeply fastened, which, through the counsel of teachers, are set forth by one pastor.
Iz 49:2 - And he has appointed my mouth as a sharp sword. In the shadow of his hand, he has protected me. And he has appointed me as an elect arrow. In his quiver, he has hidden me.
Ef 6:17 - And take up the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit (which is the Word of God).

Verš 13
And there is no created thing that is invisible to his sight. For all things are naked and open to the eyes of him, about whom we are speaking.
Ž 33:13 - Which is the man who wills life, who chooses to see good days?

Verš 14
Therefore, since we have a great High Priest, who has pierced the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, we should hold to our confession.
Heb 3:1 - Therefore, holy brothers, sharers in the heavenly calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our confession: Jesus.
Heb 6:20 - to the place where the forerunner Jesus has entered on our behalf, so as to become the High Priest for eternity, according to the order of Melchizedek.
Heb 8:1 - Now the main point in the things that have been stated is this: that we have so great a High Priest, who is seated at the right hand of the throne of Majesty in the heavens,
Heb 9:11 - But Christ, standing as the High Priest of future good things, through a greater and more perfect tabernacle, one not made by hand, that is, not of this creation,

Verš 15
For we do not have a high priest who is unable to have compassion on our infirmities, but rather one who was tempted in all things, just as we are, yet without sin.
Heb 2:18 - For in as much as he himself has suffered and has been tempted, he also is able to assist those who are tempted.
Flp 2:7 - Instead, he emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in the likeness of men, and accepting the state of a man.
Iz 53:9 - And he will be given a place with the impious for his burial, and with the rich for his death, though he has done no iniquity, nor was deceit in his mouth.
2Kor 5:21 - For God made him who did not know sin to be sin for us, so that we might become the justice of God in him.
1Pt 2:22 - He committed no sin, neither was deceit found in his mouth.
1Jn 3:5 - And you know that he appeared in order that he might take away our sins. For in him there is no sin.

Verš 16
Therefore, let us go forth with confidence toward the throne of grace, so that we may obtain mercy, and find grace, in a helpful time.
Rim 3:25 - whom God has offered as a propitiation, through faith in his blood, to reveal his justice for the remission of the former offenses,
