Sk 2, 1-47

1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. 2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. 3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like of fire, and it sat upon each of them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, (o. pneuma) and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit (o. pneuma) gave them utterance. 5 And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven. 6 Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language. 7 And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans? 8 And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born? 9 Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judaea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia, 10 Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes, 11 Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God. 12 And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying one to another, What means this? 13 Others mocking said, These men are full of new wine. 14 But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, All of you men of Judaea, and all you that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words: (o. rhema) 15 For these are not drunken, as all of you suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day. 16 "But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; " 17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, I will pour out of my Spirit (o. pneuma) upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: 18 "And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; (o. pneuma) and they shall prophesy: " 19 "And I will show wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke: " 20 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and notable day of the Lord come: 21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. 22 "All of you men of Israel, hear these words; (o. logos) Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as all of you yourselves also know: " 23 Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, all of you have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain: 24 Whom God has raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be held of it. 25 For David speaks concerning him, I foresaw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved: 26 "Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope: " 27 Because you will not leave my soul in hell, neither will you suffer your Holy One to see corruption. 28 "You have made known to me the ways of life; you shall make me full of joy with your countenance. " 29 Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his tomb is with us unto this day. 30 "Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne; " 31 He seeing this before spoke of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption. 32 This Jesus has God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses. 33 Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, (o. pneuma) he has shed forth this, which all of you now see and hear. 34 For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he says himself, The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit you on my right hand, 35 Until I make your foes your footstool. 36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God has made the same Jesus, whom all of you have crucified, both Lord and Christ. 37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? 38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and all of you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. (o. pneuma) 39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are far off, even as many as the LORD our God shall call. 40 And with many other words (o. logos) did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation. 41 Then they that gladly received his word (o. logos) were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls. 42 And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers. 43 And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles. 44 "And all that believed were together, and had all things common; " 45 And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need. 46 And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their food with gladness and singleness of heart, 47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

Verš 32

This Jesus has God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.

Jn 15:27 - And all of you also shall bear witness, because all of you have been with me from the beginning.

Sk 1:8 - But all of you shall receive power, after that the Holy Spirit (o. pneuma) has come upon you: and all of you shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

Lv 23:15 - "And all of you shall count unto you from the next day after the sabbath, from the day that all of you brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven sabbaths shall be complete: "

Dt 16:9 - Seven weeks shall you number unto you: begin to number the seven weeks from such time as you begin to put the sickle to the corn.

Sk 1:14 - These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.

For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he says himself, The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit you on my right hand,

Ž 110:1 - The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit you at my right hand, until I make your enemies your footstool.

1Kor 15:25 - For he must reign, till he has put all enemies under his feet.

Ef 1:20 - Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,

Heb 1:13 - But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make your enemies your footstool?

And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.

Mk 16:17 - "And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; "

Sk 5:12 - "And by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders wrought among the people; (and they were all with one accord in Solomon's porch. "

And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, (o. pneuma) and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit (o. pneuma) gave them utterance.

Mt 3:11 - I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance. but he that comes after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Spirit, (o. pneuma) and with fire:

Mk 1:8 - I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy Spirit. (o. pneuma)

Lk 3:16 - "John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I comes, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Spirit (o. pneuma) and with fire: "

Jn 14:26 - But the Comforter, which is the Holy Spirit, (o. pneuma) whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

Jn 15:26 - But when the Comforter has come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit (o. pneuma) of truth, which proceeds from the Father, he shall testify of me:

Jn 16:13 - "Nevertheless when he, the Spirit (o. pneuma) of truth, has come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come. "

Sk 11:15 - And as I began to speak, the Holy Spirit (o. pneuma) fell on them, as on us at the beginning.

Sk 19:6 - "And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Spirit (o. pneuma) came on them; and they spoke with tongues, and prophesied. "

Mk 16:17 - "And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; "

Sk 10:46 - For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter,

Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?

Za 12:10 - And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourns for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.

Lk 3:10 - And the people asked him, saying, What shall we do then?

Sk 9:6 - And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what will you have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told you what you must do.

Sk 16:30 - And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?

Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, (o. pneuma) he has shed forth this, which all of you now see and hear.

Sk 5:31 - Him has God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, in order to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.

Flp 2:9 - Wherefore God also has highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:

Sk 1:4 - And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, says he, all of you have heard of me.

Sk 10:45 - And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Spirit. (o. pneuma)

For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are far off, even as many as the LORD our God shall call.

Joe 2:28 - "And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions: "

Ef 2:13 - But now in Christ Jesus all of you who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.

"And all that believed were together, and had all things common; "

Dt 15:4 - "Save when there shall be no poor among you; for the LORD shall greatly bless you in the land which the LORD your God gives you for an inheritance to possess it: "

Sk 4:32 - "And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common. "

And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need.

Iz 58:7 - "Is it not to deal your bread to the hungry, and that you bring the poor that are cast out to your house? when you see the naked, that you cover him; and that you hide not yourself from your own flesh? "

Sk 4:35 - And laid them down at the apostles' feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need.

And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their food with gladness and singleness of heart,

Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, I will pour out of my Spirit (o. pneuma) upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:

Iz 44:3 - For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground: I will pour my spirit upon your seed, and my blessing upon your offspring:

Ez 11:19 - "And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them an heart of flesh: "

Ez 36:27 - And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and all of you shall keep my judgments, and do them.

Jn 7:38 - He that believes on me, as the scripture has said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

Sk 10:45 - And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Spirit. (o. pneuma)

And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Joe 2:32 - And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the LORD shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the LORD has said, and in the remnant whom the LORD shall call.

Rim 10:13 - For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, all of you have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:

Sk 4:28 - In order to do whatsoever your hand and your counsel determined before to be done.

Sk 5:30 - The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom all of you slew and hanged on a tree.

Verš 24

Whom God has raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be held of it.

For David speaks concerning him, I foresaw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved:

Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his tomb is with us unto this day.

1Kr 2:10 - So David slept with his fathers, and was buried in the city of David.

"Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne; "

2Sam 7:12 - And when your days be fulfilled, and you shall sleep with your fathers, I will set up your seed after you, which shall proceed out of your bowels, and I will establish his kingdom.

Ž 132:11 - "The LORD has sworn in truth unto David; he will not turn from it; Of the fruit of your body will I set upon your throne. "

Lk 1:32 - He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:

Verš 31

He seeing this before spoke of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption.

Ž 16:10 - "For you will not leave my soul in hell; neither will you suffer your Holy One to see corruption. "

Sk 13:35 - Wherefore he says also in another psalm, You shall not suffer your Holy One to see corruption.

Sk 2,1 - Turíce sa slávili v päťdesiaty deň po Veľkej noci (gr. pentekostés).

Sk 2,9-11 - Jednotlivé národy sa uvádzajú v geografickom poradí od východu smerom na západ. Prozelyti sú pohania, čo sa pridali k židovstvu, prijali obriezku a židovský zákon. Okrem prozelytov boli aj tzv "sebómenoi ten Theón" alebo "foboúmenoi ten Theón" – čiže "bohabojní" – teda pohania, čo uctievali Boha Izraelitov, chodili do synagógy, ale neprijali obriezku (porov. Sk 10, 2; 10, 22; 13, 16; 13, 26; 16, 14; 17, 4; 17, 17; 18, 7).

Sk 2,17-21 - Joel 3, 1–5; "posledné dni" označujú čas Mesiáša od jeho narodenia až po jeho príchod na konci sveta.

Sk 2,22-36 - Je to jedna z najstarších schém prvokresťanskej katechézy: nadviazanie na konkrétne okolnosti, ohlásenie zmŕtvychvstania, dôkazy zo Starého zákona, výzva na pokánie.

Sk 2,25-28 - Ž 16, 8–11.

Sk 2,34-35 - Ž 110, 1. Pretože sa žalm nepotvrdil na Dávidovi, proroctvo sa (v. 30) splnilo na Mesiášovi, o ktorom hovorí žalm.

Sk 2,39 - Výraz "čo sú ďaleko" je prevzatý z Izaiáša (57, 19) a označuje pohanov.

Sk 2,42 - Lámanie chleba označuje slávenie Eucharistie, ktoré zvyčajne nasledovalo po "hodoch lásky".

Sk 2,46 - Veriaci sa iba pomaly oddeľovali od židovských obradov. Navštevovali ešte chrám, ale Eucharistiu už slávili po domoch.
