1 (UKJV) The mighty God, even the LORD, has spoken, and called the earth from the rising of the sun unto the going down thereof.
1 (ROH) Žalm Azafov. Silný Bôh bohov, Hospodin prehovoril a zavolal na zem od východu slnka až po jeho západ.
2 (UKJV) Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God has shined.
2 (ROH) So Siona, s dokonalej krásy zaskvel sa Bôh.
3 (UKJV) Our God shall come, and shall not keep silence: a fire shall devour before him, and it shall be very tempestuous round about him.
3 (ROH) Prijde náš Bôh a nebude mlčať; oheň bude žrať pred ním, a vôkol neho bude náramná víchrica.
4 (UKJV) He shall call to the heavens from above, and to the earth, that he may judge his people.
4 (ROH) Zavolá na nebesia hore a na zem, aby súdil svoj ľud a povie:
5 (UKJV) "Gather my saints together unto me; those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice. "
5 (ROH) Shromaždite mi mojich svätých, ktorí učinili so mnou smluvu pri obeti.
6 (UKJV) And the heavens shall declare his righteousness: for God is judge himself. Selah.
6 (ROH) A nebesia budú oznamovať jeho spravedlivosť, lebo on, Bôh, je sudcom. Sélah.
7 (UKJV) "Hear, O my people, and I will speak; O Israel, and I will testify against you: I am God, even your God. "
7 (ROH) Počuj, môj ľude, a budem hovoriť; pozoruj, Izraelu, a budem svedčiť proti tebe: Bohom, tvojím Bohom som ja!
8 (UKJV) I will not reprove you for your sacrifices or your burnt offerings, to have been continually before me.
8 (ROH) Neviním ťa pre tvoje bitné obeti ani pre tvoje zápaly, ktoré sú stále predo mnou.
9 (UKJV) I will take no bullock out of your house, nor he goats out of your folds.
9 (ROH) Nevezmem z tvojho domu junca a z tvojich chlievov kozlov.
10 (UKJV) For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills.
10 (ROH) Lebo veď moja je všetka lesná zver i hovädá na tisícich vrchoch.
11 (UKJV) I know all the fowls of the mountains: and the wild beasts of the field are mine.
11 (ROH) Znám všetko vtáctvo všetkých vrchov, a poľné zvieratá sú vo vedomí u mňa.
12 (UKJV) If I were hungry, I would not tell you: for the world is mine, and the fullness thereof.
12 (ROH) Ak zlačniem, nepoviem ti toho, lebo môj je okruh zeme i jeho náplň.
13 (UKJV) Will I eat the flesh of bulls, or drink the blood of goats?
13 (ROH) A potom či azda jedám mäso volov a pijem krv kozlov?
14 (UKJV) "Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay your vows unto the most High: "
14 (ROH) Obetuj Bohu chválu a splň Najvyššiemu svoje sľuby.
15 (UKJV) And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me.
15 (ROH) A vzývaj ma v deň súženia, vytrhnem ťa, a budeš ma oslavovať.
16 (UKJV) But unto the wicked God says, What have you to do to declare my statutes, or that you should take my covenant in your mouth?
16 (ROH) Ale bezbožníkovi hovorí Bôh: Čo tebe do toho, že rozprávaš moje ustanovenia a berieš moju smluvu do svojich úst,
17 (UKJV) Seeing you hate instruction, and casts my words behind you.
17 (ROH) keď ty nenávidíš kázne a zavrhol si moje slová za seba?
18 (UKJV) When you saw a thief, then you consented with him, and have been partaker with adulterers.
18 (ROH) Ak vidíš zlodeja, hneď s ním bežíš a s cudzoložníkmi máš svoj podiel.
19 (UKJV) You give your mouth to evil, and your tongue frames deceit.
19 (ROH) Svoje ústa púšťaš po zlom, a tvoj jazyk snuje lesť.
20 (UKJV) "You sit and speak against your brother; you slander your own mother's son. "
20 (ROH) Usadzujúc sa hovoríš proti svojmu bratovi a na syna svojej matky vrháš potupu.
21 (UKJV) "These things have you done, and I kept silence; you thought that I was altogether such an one as yourself: but I will reprove you, and set them in order before your eyes. "
21 (ROH) To si robil, a mlčal som. Domnieval si sa, že áno, i ja budem tebe podobný! Trestať ťa budem a predostriem ti to pred oči!
22 (UKJV) Now consider this, all of you that forget God, lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver.
22 (ROH) A tak tedy rozumejte tomu, vy, ktorí zabúdate na Boha, aby som nejako neuchvatnul, a nebolo by toho, kto by vytrhol!
23 (UKJV) Whoso offers praise glorifies me: and to him that orders his conversation aright will I show the salvation of God.
23 (ROH) Ten, kto obetuje chválu, ma ctí, a tomu, kto pozoruje na svoju cestu, ukážem spasenie Božie.

Verš 12
If I were hungry, I would not tell you: for the world is mine, and the fullness thereof.
Ex 19:5 - Now therefore, if all of you will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then all of you shall be an exclusive treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine:
Dt 10:14 - Behold, the heaven and the heaven of heavens is the LORD's your God, the earth also, with all that therein is.
Jób 41:11 - Who has prevented me, that I should repay him? whatsoever is under the whole heaven is mine.
Ž 24:1 - "The earth is the LORD's, and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. "
1Kor 10:26 - For the earth is the Lord's, and the fullness thereof.
1Kor 10:28 - But if any man say unto you, This is offered in sacrifice unto idols, eat not for his sake that showed it, and for conscience sake: for the earth is the Lord's, and the fullness thereof:
Verš 14
"Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay your vows unto the most High: "
Dt 23:23 - "That which is gone out of your lips you shall keep and perform; even a freewill offering, according as you have vowed unto the LORD your God, which you have promised with your mouth. "
Jób 22:27 - You shall make your prayer unto him, and he shall hear you, and you shall pay your vows.
Ž 76:11 - Vow, and pay unto the LORD your God: let all that be round about him bring presents unto him that ought to be feared.
Kaz 5:4 - "When you vow a vow unto God, defer not to pay it; for he has no pleasure in fools: pay that which you have vowed. "
Z 50 - Tento žalm je prvý od Asafa, jedného z troch majstrov chóru, dirigenta hudby vo svätyni za Dávida (1 Krn 6,24; 16,4-5; 25,2). Asaf napísal aj iné žalmy, ako to dosvedčuje 2 Krn 29,30; Neh 12,46. Žalm vznikol v čase, keď ešte jestvovali obety, keď Jeruzalem stál vo svojej nádhere.Ústrednou myšlienkou žalmu je daromnosť takých obiet, ktoré sa prinášajú len navonok, s ktorými obetujúci nie je vnútorne spojený, nie sú to obety chvály a srdca, lebo v nich chýba to podstatné, dobré vnútorné zmýšľanie.
Z 50,20 - "Syn matky" je najbližší príbuzný najmä vtedy, keď pre starozákonné mnohoženstvo bratia mávali spoločného otca, ale rozličné matky.
