1 (KJV) Now these are the generations of Esau, who is Edom.
1 (ROH) A toto sú rody Ezavove, ktorý je Edom.

2 (KJV) Esau took his wives of the daughters of Canaan; Adah the daughter of Elon the Hittite, and Aholibamah the daughter of Anah the daughter of Zibeon the Hivite;
2 (ROH) Ezav vzal svoje ženy zo dcér Kanaána, Adu, dcéru Elona Hetejského, a Aholibámu, dcéru Anovu, dcéru, vnučku Cibona Hevejského,

3 (KJV) And Bashemath Ishmael's daughter, sister of Nebajoth.
3 (ROH) a Bazematu, dcéru Izmaelovu, sestru Nebajotovu.

4 (KJV) And Adah bare to Esau Eliphaz; and Bashemath bare Reuel;
4 (ROH) A Ada porodila Ezavovi Elifaza, a Bazemata porodila Reuela.

5 (KJV) And Aholibamah bare Jeush, and Jaalam, and Korah: these are the sons of Esau, which were born unto him in the land of Canaan.
5 (ROH) A Aholibáma porodila Jeúša, Jalama a Kóracha. Toto sú synovia Ezavovi, ktorí sa mu narodili v zemi Kanaána.

6 (KJV) And Esau took his wives, and his sons, and his daughters, and all the persons of his house, and his cattle, and all his beasts, and all his substance, which he had got in the land of Canaan; and went into the country from the face of his brother Jacob.
6 (ROH) Potom vzal Ezav svoje ženy, svojich synov a svoje dcéry jako i všetky duše svojho domu i svoj dobytok i všetky svoje hovädá i všetok svoj majetok, ktorý nadobudol v zemi Kanaána, a odišiel zo zeme Seira pred Jakobom svojím bratom.

7 (KJV) For their riches were more than that they might dwell together; and the land wherein they were strangers could not bear them because of their cattle.
7 (ROH) Lebo mali primnoho imania, než aby boli mohli bývať spolu, ani nemohla zem, v ktorej pohostínili, uniesť ich pre ich mnohý dobytok.

8 (KJV) Thus dwelt Esau in mount Seir: Esau is Edom.
8 (ROH) A tak býval Ezav na vrchu Seire, Ezav, to je Edom.

9 (KJV) And these are the generations of Esau the father of the Edomites in mount Seir:
9 (ROH) A toto sú rody Ezava, otca Edomcov, na vrchu Seire.

10 (KJV) These are the names of Esau's sons; Eliphaz the son of Adah the wife of Esau, Reuel the son of Bashemath the wife of Esau.
10 (ROH) Toto sú mená synov Ezavových: Elifaz, syn Ady, ženy Ezavovej; Reuel, syn Bazematy, ženy Ezavovej.

11 (KJV) And the sons of Eliphaz were Teman, Omar, Zepho, and Gatam, and Kenaz.
11 (ROH) A synovia Elifazovi boli: Téman, Omár, Cefo a Gátam a Kenaz.

12 (KJV) And Timna was concubine to Eliphaz Esau's son; and she bare to Eliphaz Amalek: these were the sons of Adah Esau's wife.
12 (ROH) A Timna bola ženina Elifaza, syna Ezavovho, a porodila Elifazovi Amalecha. To sú synovia Ady, ženy Ezavovej.

13 (KJV) And these are the sons of Reuel; Nahath, and Zerah, Shammah, and Mizzah: these were the sons of Bashemath Esau's wife.
13 (ROH) A toto sú synovia Reuelovi: Nachat a Zárach, Šamma a Mizza. To boli synovia Bazematy, ženy Ezavovej.

14 (KJV) And these were the sons of Aholibamah, the daughter of Anah the daughter of Zibeon, Esau's wife: and she bare to Esau Jeush, and Jaalam, and Korah.
14 (ROH) A toto boli synovia Aholibámy, dcéry Anovej, dcéry Cibonovej, ženy Ezavovej, ktorá porodila Ezavovi Jeúša, Jalama a Kóracha.

15 (KJV) These were dukes of the sons of Esau: the sons of Eliphaz the firstborn son of Esau; duke Teman, duke Omar, duke Zepho, duke Kenaz,
15 (ROH) Toto boly kniežatá synov Ezavových. Synovia Elifaza, prvorodeného Ezavovho: knieža Téman, knieža Omár, knieža Cefo, knieža Kenaz,

16 (KJV) Duke Korah, duke Gatam, and duke Amalek: these are the dukes that came of Eliphaz in the land of Edom; these were the sons of Adah.
16 (ROH) knieža Kórach, knieža Gátam, knieža Amalech. Toto boly kniežatá, pošlé z Elifaza, v zemi Edomovej. Toto boli synovia Adini.

17 (KJV) And these are the sons of Reuel Esau's son; duke Nahath, duke Zerah, duke Shammah, duke Mizzah: these are the dukes that came of Reuel in the land of Edom; these are the sons of Bashemath Esau's wife.
17 (ROH) A toto boli synovia Reuela, syna Ezavovho: knieža Nachat, knieža Zárach, knieža Šamma, knieža Mizza. Toto boly kniežatá, ktoré pošly z Reuela v zemi Edomovej. To boli synovia Bazematy, ženy Ezavovej.

18 (KJV) And these are the sons of Aholibamah Esau's wife; duke Jeush, duke Jaalam, duke Korah: these were the dukes that came of Aholibamah the daughter of Anah, Esau's wife.
18 (ROH) A toto boli synovia Aholibámy, ženy Ezavovej: knieža Jeúš, knieža Jalam, knieža Kórach. Toto boly kniežatá Aholibámy, dcéry Anu, ženy Ezavovej.

19 (KJV) These are the sons of Esau, who is Edom, and these are their dukes.
19 (ROH) To sú synovia Ezavovi a to ich kniežatá. On je Edom.

20 (KJV) These are the sons of Seir the Horite, who inhabited the land; Lotan, and Shobal, and Zibeon, and Anah,
20 (ROH) Toto sú synovia Seira Chorejského, obyvatelia tej zeme: Lotán, Šobál, Cibon a Ana,

21 (KJV) And Dishon, and Ezer, and Dishan: these are the dukes of the Horites, the children of Seir in the land of Edom.
21 (ROH) Dišon, Écer a Díšan. To sú kniežatá Chorejov, synov Seira, v zemi Edomovej.

22 (KJV) And the children of Lotan were Hori and Hemam; and Lotan's sister was Timna.
22 (ROH) A synovia Lotánovi boli: Chori a Hémam, a sestra Lotánova bola Timna.

23 (KJV) And the children of Shobal were these; Alvan, and Manahath, and Ebal, Shepho, and Onam.
23 (ROH) A toto boli synovia Šobálovi: Alván, Manachat a Ébal, Šefo a Onám.

24 (KJV) And these are the children of Zibeon; both Ajah, and Anah: this was that Anah that found the mules in the wilderness, as he fed the asses of Zibeon his father.
24 (ROH) A toto sú synovia Cibonovi, i Aja i Ana. To je ten Ana, ktorý našiel teplé pramene na pustine, keď pásol oslov Cibona, svojho otca.

25 (KJV) And the children of Anah were these; Dishon, and Aholibamah the daughter of Anah.
25 (ROH) A toto sú deti Anove: Dišon a Aholibáma, dcéra Anova.

26 (KJV) And these are the children of Dishon; Hemdan, and Eshban, and Ithran, and Cheran.
26 (ROH) A toto synovia Dišánovi: Chemdán, Ešbán, Jitrán a Cherán.

27 (KJV) The children of Ezer are these; Bilhan, and Zaavan, and Akan.
27 (ROH) Títo synovia Écerovi: Bilhán, Zaván a Akán.

28 (KJV) The children of Dishan are these: Uz, and Aran.
28 (ROH) Títo synovia Dišánovi: Úc a Arán.

29 (KJV) These are the dukes that came of the Horites; duke Lotan, duke Shobal, duke Zibeon, duke Anah,
29 (ROH) Toto boly kniežatá Chorejov: knieža Lotán, knieža Šobál, knieža Cibon, knieža Ana,

30 (KJV) Duke Dishon, duke Ezer, duke Dishan: these are the dukes that came of Hori, among their dukes in the land of Seir.
30 (ROH) knieža Dišon, knieža Écer, knieža Dišán. To boly kniežatá Chorejov po svojich kniežatstvách v zemi Seira.-

31 (KJV) And these are the kings that reigned in the land of Edom, before there reigned any king over the children of Israel.
31 (ROH) A toto sú kráľovia, ktorí kraľovali v zemi Edomovej, prv než kraľoval kráľ synov Izraelových.

32 (KJV) And Bela the son of Beor reigned in Edom: and the name of his city was Dinhabah.
32 (ROH) A tedy kraľoval v Edomovi Béla, syn Beorov, a meno jeho mesta bolo Dinhaba.

33 (KJV) And Bela died, and Jobab the son of Zerah of Bozrah reigned in his stead.
33 (ROH) A keď zomrel Béla, kraľoval miesto neho Jobáb, syn Zárachov z Bocry.

34 (KJV) And Jobab died, and Husham of the land of Temani reigned in his stead.
34 (ROH) A keď zomrel Jobáb, kraľoval miesto neho Chušam z Témanskej zeme.

35 (KJV) And Husham died, and Hadad the son of Bedad, who smote Midian in the field of Moab, reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Avith.
35 (ROH) A keď zomrel Chušam, kraľoval miesto neho Hadad, syn Bedadov, ktorý zbil Madiana na moábskom poli, a meno jeho mesta bolo Avit.

36 (KJV) And Hadad died, and Samlah of Masrekah reigned in his stead.
36 (ROH) A keď zomrel Hadad, kraľoval miesto neho Samla z Masréky.

37 (KJV) And Samlah died, and Saul of Rehoboth by the river reigned in his stead.
37 (ROH) A keď zomrel Samla, kraľoval miesto neho Saul z Rechobota nad riekou.

38 (KJV) And Saul died, and Baal-hanan the son of Achbor reigned in his stead.
38 (ROH) A keď zomrel Saul, kraľoval miesto neho Bál-chanán, syn Achborov.

39 (KJV) And Baal-hanan the son of Achbor died, and Hadar reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Pau; and his wife's name was Mehetabel, the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Mezahab.
39 (ROH) A keď zomrel Bál-chanán, syn Achborov, kraľoval miesto neho Hadar, a meno jeho mesta bolo Pahu a meno jeho ženy Mehetabeľ, dcéra Matrédy, dcéry Me-zahába.

40 (KJV) And these are the names of the dukes that came of Esau, according to their families, after their places, by their names; duke Timnah, duke Alvah, duke Jetheth,
40 (ROH) Toto sú tedy mená kniežat Ezavových po ich čeľadiach, po ich miestach a podľa ich mien: knieža Timna, knieža Alva, knieža Jetet,

41 (KJV) Duke Aholibamah, duke Elah, duke Pinon,
41 (ROH) knieža Aholibáma, knieža Ela, knieža Pínon,

42 (KJV) Duke Kenaz, duke Teman, duke Mibzar,
42 (ROH) knieža Kenaz, knieža Téman, knieža Mibcár,

43 (KJV) Duke Magdiel, duke Iram: these be the dukes of Edom, according to their habitations in the land of their possession: he is Esau the father of the Edomites.
43 (ROH) knieža Magdiel, knieža Íram. Toto boly kniežatá Edomove po svojich sídlach v zemi svojho državia. To je Ezav, otec Edomcov.
