1 (KJV) Help, LORD; for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail from among the children of men.
1 (ROH) Náčelníkovi speváckeho sboru na nápev: Ôsma... Žalm Dávidov.
2 (KJV) They speak vanity every one with his neighbour: with flattering lips and with a double heart do they speak.
2 (ROH) Zachráň, ó, Hospodine, lebo je koniec bohabojnému; vymizli verní zpomedzi synov človeka.
3 (KJV) The LORD shall cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that speaketh proud things:
3 (ROH) Márnosť hovoria každý so svojím blížnym; majú lichotné rty; hovoria dvojitým srdcom.
4 (KJV) Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail; our lips are our own: who is lord over us?
4 (ROH) Ó, bárs by vykorenil Hospodin každé rty lichotné i každý jazyk, ktorý hovorí veľké veci pyšné.
5 (KJV) For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith the LORD; I will set him in safety from him that puffeth at him.
5 (ROH) Lebo hovoria: Premôžeme svojím jazykom; máme so sebou svoje rty; ktože je naším pánom?
6 (KJV) The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
6 (ROH) Pre útisk biednych, pre vzdychanie chudobných teraz už povstanem, hovorí Hospodin; zachránim toho, na koho bezbožník pyšne fúka.
7 (KJV) Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.
7 (ROH) Slová Hospodinove sú čisté slová, sú jako striebro, prepálené v topičskom kotle z hliny, prečistené sedem ráz.
8 (KJV) The wicked walk on every side, when the vilest men are exalted.
8 (ROH) Ty, Hospodine, ich ostrežieš; zachováš ho od tohoto pokolenia až na veky.

9 (ROH) Všade vôkol obchádzajú bezbožníci, hneď ako sa dvíha nešľachetnosť synov človeka.

Help, LORD; for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail from among the children of men.
Iz 57:1 - The righteous perisheth, and no man layeth it to heart: and merciful men are taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil to come.
Verš 6
The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
2Sam 22:31 - As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him.
Ž 18:30 - As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him.
Ž 119:140 - Thy word is very pure: therefore thy servant loveth it.
Prís 30:5 - Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.
Z 12 - Modlitba v prorockom štýle. Proti ľudskej lži stojí pravda Božieho slova a Božích prísľubov.
Z 12,7 - Pretavené striebro… sedem ráz čistené - ide o hyperbolu najčistejšieho striebra, označujúcu, že Božie slovo neobsahuje v sebe nič iné, je len tým, čím je. Boží výrok je čistá pravda, čistá a ďaleká od ľudskej nedokonalosti. Boh určite dodrží svoje sľuby.
