Žalmy

1 (KJV) Give the king thy judgments, O God, and thy righteousness unto the king's son.
1 (ROH) Šalamúnov. Bože, svoje súdy daj kráľovi a svoju spravedlivosť synovi kráľovmu,

2 (KJV) He shall judge thy people with righteousness, and thy poor with judgment.
2 (ROH) aby súdil tvoj ľud v spravedlivosti a tvojich biednych múdrym súdom.

3 (KJV) The mountains shall bring peace to the people, and the little hills, by righteousness.
3 (ROH) Vtedy donesú vrchy ľudu pokoj i vŕšky v spravedlivosti.

4 (KJV) He shall judge the poor of the people, he shall save the children of the needy, and shall break in pieces the oppressor.
4 (ROH) Bude súdiť biednych z ľudu, pomôže synom biedneho a rozdrtí utláčateľa.

5 (KJV) They shall fear thee as long as the sun and moon endure, throughout all generations.
5 (ROH) Budú sa ťa báť, kým len bude slnce, a dokiaľ bude trvať mesiac, pokolenie pokolení.

6 (KJV) He shall come down like rain upon the mown grass: as showers that water the earth.
6 (ROH) Sostúpi jako dážď na pôkos a jako tichý dážď hojný, kropiaci zem.

7 (KJV) In his days shall the righteous flourish; and abundance of peace so long as the moon endureth.
7 (ROH) Za jeho dní bude kvitnúť spravedlivý, a bude veľký pokoj, kým len bude trvať mesiac.

8 (KJV) He shall have dominion also from sea to sea, and from the river unto the ends of the earth.
8 (ROH) A bude panovať od mora po more a od rieky až po konce zeme.

9 (KJV) They that dwell in the wilderness shall bow before him; and his enemies shall lick the dust.
9 (ROH) Pred ním sa budú skláňať obyvatelia pustín, a jeho nepriatelia budú lízať prach.

10 (KJV) The kings of Tarshish and of the isles shall bring presents: the kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts.
10 (ROH) Kráľovia Taršíša a ostrovov donesú pôcty; kráľovia zo Šéby a Sáby budú obetovať dary.

11 (KJV) Yea, all kings shall fall down before him: all nations shall serve him.
11 (ROH) A budú sa mu klaňať všetci kráľovia; všetky národy mu budú slúžiť.

12 (KJV) For he shall deliver the needy when he crieth; the poor also, and him that hath no helper.
12 (ROH) Lebo vytrhne chudobného, volajúceho, a biedneho a toho, kto nemá spomocníka.

13 (KJV) He shall spare the poor and needy, and shall save the souls of the needy.
13 (ROH) Zľutuje sa nad slabým a chudobným a duše chudobných spasí.

14 (KJV) He shall redeem their soul from deceit and violence: and precious shall their blood be in his sight.
14 (ROH) Vykúpi ich dušu z útisku a z násilia, a ich krv je drahá v jeho očiach.

15 (KJV) And he shall live, and to him shall be given of the gold of Sheba: prayer also shall be made for him continually; and daily shall he be praised.
15 (ROH) A budú žiť a budú mu dávať zlato zo Šéby, a vždy sa budú modliť za neho. Žehnať ho budú každého dňa.

16 (KJV) There shall be an handful of corn in the earth upon the top of the mountains; the fruit thereof shall shake like Lebanon: and they of the city shall flourish like grass of the earth.
16 (ROH) Bude hojnosť obilia v zemi hore na temeni vrchov; jeho úroda bude šumieť ako Libanon, a ľudia z mesta budú kvitnúť ako bylina zeme.

17 (KJV) His name shall endure for ever: his name shall be continued as long as the sun: and men shall be blessed in him: all nations shall call him blessed.
17 (ROH) Jeho meno bude na veky; dokiaľ trvá slnce, bude trvať i jeho meno. Ľudia sa ním budú žehnať; všetky národy ho budú blahoslaviť.

18 (KJV) Blessed be the LORD God, the God of Israel, who only doeth wondrous things.
18 (ROH) Nech je požehnaný Hospodin Bôh, Bôh Izraelov, ktorý sám jediný činí divy.

19 (KJV) And blessed be his glorious name for ever: and let the whole earth be filled with his glory; Amen, and Amen.
19 (ROH) A nech je požehnané meno jeho slávy až na veky! A nech je celá zem naplnená jeho slávou! Ameň, ameň.

20 (KJV) The prayers of David the son of Jesse are ended.
