Žalmy

1 (KJV) Make a joyful noise unto God, all ye lands:
1 (ROH) Pokrikujte radostne Bohu, celá zem!

2 (KJV) Sing forth the honour of his name: make his praise glorious.
2 (ROH) Ospevujte slávu jeho mena! Pokladajte si jeho chválu za slávu!

3 (KJV) Say unto God, How terrible art thou in thy works! through the greatness of thy power shall thine enemies submit themselves unto thee.
3 (ROH) Recte Bohu: Jaký hrozný si čo do svojich diel! Pre veľkosť tvojej sily budú sa ti lichotne koriť tvoji nepriatelia.

4 (KJV) All the earth shall worship thee, and shall sing unto thee; they shall sing to thy name. Selah.
4 (ROH) Celá zem, všetko a všetci sa ti budú klaňať a budú ti spievať žalmy, ospevovať budú tvoje meno. Sélah.

5 (KJV) Come and see the works of God: he is terrible in his doing toward the children of men.
5 (ROH) Poďte a vidzte skutky Boha! Hrozný je čo do činu pri synoch človeka!

6 (KJV) He turned the sea into dry land: they went through the flood on foot: there did we rejoice in him.
6 (ROH) Obrátil more na sušinu; cez rieku prešli pešo; tam sme sa radovali v ňom!

7 (KJV) He ruleth by his power for ever; his eyes behold the nations: let not the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah.
7 (ROH) Vo svojej hrdinskej sile panuje na veky; jeho oči pozorujú národy; spurní nech sa nepovyšujú! Sélah.

8 (KJV) O bless our God, ye people, and make the voice of his praise to be heard:
8 (ROH) Dobrorečte, národy, nášmu Bohu a dajte čuť hlas jeho chvály,

9 (KJV) Which holdeth our soul in life, and suffereth not our feet to be moved.
9 (ROH) ktorý zachoval našu dušu pri živote a nedal, aby sa pohla naša noha.

10 (KJV) For thou, O God, hast proved us: thou hast tried us, as silver is tried.
10 (ROH) Lebo si nás zkúsil, Bože; prepálil si nás v ohni, jako sa prepaľuje striebro.

11 (KJV) Thou broughtest us into the net; thou laidst affliction upon our loins.
11 (ROH) Bol si nás uviedol do siete; bremeno si bol položil na naše bedrá.

12 (KJV) Thou hast caused men to ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water: but thou broughtest us out into a wealthy place.
12 (ROH) Bol si vysadil mizerného človeka na našu hlavu; boli sme vošli do ohňa a do vody, a vyviedol si nás do hojnosti.

13 (KJV) I will go into thy house with burnt offerings: I will pay thee my vows,
13 (ROH) A preto vojdem do tvojho domu so zápalnými obeťami; splním ti svoje sľuby,

14 (KJV) Which my lips have uttered, and my mouth hath spoken, when I was in trouble.
14 (ROH) to, čo vyriekly moje rty, a povedaly moje ústa vtedy, keď mi bolo úzko.

15 (KJV) I will offer unto thee burnt sacrifices of fatlings, with the incense of rams; I will offer bullocks with goats. Selah.
15 (ROH) Zápalné obeti tučných baránkov ti budem obetovať, s kadivom škopcov; pripravím vola s kozlami. Sélah.

16 (KJV) Come and hear, all ye that fear God, and I will declare what he hath done for my soul.
16 (ROH) Poďte, čujte všetci, ktorí sa bojíte Boha, a budem rozprávať, čo učinil mojej duši.

17 (KJV) I cried unto him with my mouth, and he was extolled with my tongue.
17 (ROH) Na neho som volal svojimi ústy, a vyvyšoval som ho svojím jazykom.

18 (KJV) If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me:
18 (ROH) Keby som bol hľadel na neprávosť vo svojom srdci, nebol by vyslyšal Pán.

19 (KJV) But verily God hath heard me; he hath attended to the voice of my prayer.
19 (ROH) Ale Bôh vyslyšal a pozoroval na hlas mojej modlitby.

20 (KJV) Blessed be God, which hath not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me.
20 (ROH) Požehnaný Bôh, ktorý neodmietnul mojej modlitby a neodňal odo mňa svojej milosti.
