1 (KJV) LORD, how are they increased that trouble me! many are they that rise up against me.
1 (ROH) Žalm Dávidov z času, keď utekal pred Absalomom, svojím synom.
2 (KJV) Many there be which say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. Selah.
2 (ROH) Hospodine, jako mnoho je mojich protivníkov! Ako mnoho je tých, ktorí povstávajú proti mne!
3 (KJV) But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.
3 (ROH) Mnohí hovoria o mojej duši: Nemá záchrany v Bohu. Sélah.
4 (KJV) I cried unto the LORD with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy hill. Selah.
4 (ROH) Ale ty, ó, Hospodine, si štítom vôkol mňa; si mojou slávou a ten, ktorý povyšuješ moju hlavu.
5 (KJV) I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the LORD sustained me.
5 (ROH) Na Hospodina volám svojím hlasom, a ozve sa mi s vrchu svojej svätosti. Sélah.
6 (KJV) I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, that have set themselves against me round about.
6 (ROH) Ja ľahnem a budem spať i prebudím sa, lebo ma Hospodin podporuje.
7 (KJV) Arise, O LORD; save me, O my God: for thou hast smitten all mine enemies upon the cheek bone; thou hast broken the teeth of the ungodly.
7 (ROH) Nebudem sa báť mnoho tisíc ľudí, ktorí sa vôkol kladú proti mne.
8 (KJV) Salvation belongeth unto the LORD: thy blessing is upon thy people. Selah.
8 (ROH) Povstaň, ó, Hospodine, zachráň ma, môj Bože, lebo ty udrieš všetkých mojich nepriateľov na líce, zuby bezbožným vyrazíš.

9 (ROH) Hospodinovo je spasenie, nad tvojím ľudom, ó, Bože, tvoje požehnanie. Sélah.

Verš 8
Salvation belongeth unto the LORD: thy blessing is upon thy people. Selah.
Prís 21:31 - The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of the LORD.

Ž 4:8 - I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety.

I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, that have set themselves against me round about.
Ž 27:3 - Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.
