Žalmy

1 (KJV) The king shall joy in thy strength, O LORD; and in thy salvation how greatly shall he rejoice!

2 (KJV) Thou hast given him his heart's desire, and hast not withholden the request of his lips. Selah.
2 (ROH) Hospodine, v tvojej sile sa raduje kráľ a jako veľmi plesá v tvojom spasení!

3 (KJV) For thou preventest him with the blessings of goodness: thou settest a crown of pure gold on his head.
3 (ROH) Dal si mu žiadosť jeho srdca a neodoprel si ani neujal toho, čo si prialy jeho rty. Sélah.

4 (KJV) He asked life of thee, and thou gavest it him, even length of days for ever and ever.
4 (ROH) Lebo mu prichádzaš vústrety s požehnaniami dobrého; položil si na jeho hlavu korunu z rýdzeho zlata.

5 (KJV) His glory is great in thy salvation: honour and majesty hast thou laid upon him.
5 (ROH) Žiadal od teba život; dal si mu; žiadal dlhosť dní, dal si mu večné veky.

6 (KJV) For thou hast made him most blessed for ever: thou hast made him exceeding glad with thy countenance.
6 (ROH) Veľká je jeho sláva v tvojom spasení; veličenstvo a nádheru si položil na neho;

7 (KJV) For the king trusteth in the LORD, and through the mercy of the most High he shall not be moved.
7 (ROH) lebo si ho učinil rôznym požehnaním na veky; obveseľuješ ho radosťou so svojou tvárou.

8 (KJV) Thine hand shall find out all thine enemies: thy right hand shall find out those that hate thee.
8 (ROH) Lebo kráľ sa nadeje na Hospodina a na milosť Najvyššieho; preto sa nepohne.

9 (KJV) Thou shalt make them as a fiery oven in the time of thine anger: the LORD shall swallow them up in his wrath, and the fire shall devour them.
9 (ROH) Najde tvoja ruka všetkých tvojich nepriateľov; tvoja pravica najde tých, ktorí ťa nenávidia.

10 (KJV) Their fruit shalt thou destroy from the earth, and their seed from among the children of men.
10 (ROH) Učiníš ich, že budú jako horiaca pec, keď prijde čas tvojej tvári, obrátiť sa proti nim. Hospodin ich pohltí vo svojom hneve, a žrať ich bude oheň.

11 (KJV) For they intended evil against thee: they imagined a mischievous device, which they are not able to perform.
11 (ROH) Vyhubíš ich plod zo zeme a ich semä zpomedzi synov človeka;

12 (KJV) Therefore shalt thou make them turn their back, when thou shalt make ready thine arrows upon thy strings against the face of them.
12 (ROH) lebo chceli na teba uvaliť zlé; zamýšľali lesť; no, nebudú môcť vykonať;

13 (KJV) Be thou exalted, LORD, in thine own strength: so will we sing and praise thy power.
13 (ROH) lebo predesiac ich učiníš to, aby obrátili chrbát, pretože strely na svojich tetivách namieriš do ich tvári.

14 (ROH) Povznes sa, Hospodine, vo svojej sile; budeme spievať a ospevovať tvoju hrdinskú silu.
