2Kor 13, 1-13

1 (CPDV) Behold, this is the third time that I am coming to you. By the mouth of two or three witnesses, every word shall stand.
1 (ROH) Toto po tretie idem k vám. Na ústach dvoch svedkov a troch bude stáť každé slovo.

2 (CPDV) I have preached when present, and I will preach now while absent, to those who sinned before, and to all the others, because, when I arrive again, I will not be lenient with you.
2 (ROH) Povedal som už vopred a vopred hovorím, ako keď som bol prítomný druhý krát, i teraz súc neprítomný píšem tým, ktorí prv hrešili, aj ostatným všetkým, že keď zase prijdem, nebudem šetriť.

3 (CPDV) Do you seek evidence that it is Christ who speaks in me, who is not weak with you, but is powerful with you?
3 (ROH) Keďže hľadáte dokázanosť vo mne hovoriaceho, Krista, ktorý nie je slabý voči vám, ale je mocný medzi vami.

4 (CPDV) For although he was crucified in weakness, yet he lives by the power of God. And yes, we are weak in him. But we shall live with him by the power of God among you.
4 (ROH) Lebo jestli aj bol ukrižovaný zo slabosti, ale žije z moci Božej. Lebo aj my sme slabí v ňom, ale budeme žiť s ním z moci Božej cieľom vás.

5 (CPDV) Test yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Examine 669 yourselves. Or do you yourselves not know whether Christ Jesus is in you? But perhaps you are reprobates.
5 (ROH) Sami seba zkúmajte, či ste vo viere, seba zkúšajte. Alebo či sami seba neznáte, že Ježiš Kristus je vo vás? Iba ak by ste sa boli nedokázali.

6 (CPDV) But I hope you know that we ourselves are not reprobates.
6 (ROH) Ale nadejem sa, že poznáte, že my nie sme nedokázaní.

7 (CPDV) Now we pray to God that you shall do nothing evil, not so that we may seem to be approved, but so that you may do what is good, even if we seem like reprobates.
7 (ROH) No modlím(e) sa Bohu, žeby ste nevykonali ničoho zlého, nie preto, aby sme sa my videli dokázanými, ale aby ste vy robili to, čo je dobré, a my aby sme boli jako takí, ktorí sa nedokázali.

8 (CPDV) For we cannot do anything against the truth, but only for the truth.
8 (ROH) Lebo nemôžeme ničoho proti pravde, ale za pravdu.

9 (CPDV) For we rejoice that we are weak, while you are strong. This is also what we pray for: your perfection.
9 (ROH) Lebo sa radujeme, že keď aj sme my slabí, ale vy ste mocní. A za to sa i modlíme, totiž aby ste vy boli dokonalí.

10 (CPDV) Therefore, I write these things while absent, so that, when present, I may not have to act more harshly, according to the authority which the Lord has given to me, for edification and not for destruction.
10 (ROH) Preto píšem toto súc neprítomný, aby som potom prítomný nepoužil prísnosti podľa moci, ktorú mi dal Pán na budovanie a nie na borenie.

11 (CPDV) As to the rest, brothers, rejoice, be perfect, be encouraged, have the same mind, have peace. And so the God of peace and love will be with you.
11 (ROH) Ostatne, bratia, radujte sa, majte sa dobre, zdokonaľujte sa, potešujte sa, na jedno a na to isté myslite, majte pokoj! A Bôh lásky a pokoja bude s vami.

12 (CPDV) Greet one another with a holy kiss. All the saints greet you.
12 (ROH) Pozdravujte sa navzájom svätým bozkom. Pozdravujú vás všetci svätí.

13 (CPDV) The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the charity of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. Amen.
13 (ROH) Milosť Pána Ježiša Krista a láska Božia a účastenstvo Svätého Ducha nech je so všetkými vami! Ameň.

Behold, this is the third time that I am coming to you. By the mouth of two or three witnesses, every word shall stand.

Nm 35:30 - The punishment of a murderer shall be based upon testimony; but no one shall be condemned upon the testimony of only one person.

Dt 17:6 - By the mouth of two or three witnesses, he who is to be put to death shall perish. Let no one be killed with only one person speaking testimony against him.

Dt 19:5 - such that he had gone with him into the forest simply to cut wood, and in cutting down the tree, the axe slipped from his hand, or the iron slipped from the handle, and it struck his friend and killed him: he shall flee to one of the cities stated above, and he shall live.

Mt 18:16 - But if he will not listen you, invite with you one or two more, so that every word may stand by the mouth of two or three witnesses.

Jn 8:17 - And it is written in your law that the testimony of two men is true.

Heb 10:28 - If someone dies for acting against the law of Moses, and is shown no compassion because of two or three witnesses,

Therefore, I write these things while absent, so that, when present, I may not have to act more harshly, according to the authority which the Lord has given to me, for edification and not for destruction.

2Kor 10:8 - And if I were even to glory somewhat more about our authority, which the Lord has given to us for your edification, and not for your destruction, I should not be ashamed.

Verš 11

As to the rest, brothers, rejoice, be perfect, be encouraged, have the same mind, have peace. And so the God of peace and love will be with you.

Rim 12:16 - Be of the same mind toward one another: not savoring what is exalted, but consenting in humility. Do not choose to seem wise to yourself.

Rim 15:5 - So may the God of patience and solace grant you to be of one mind toward one another, in accord with Jesus Christ,

1Kor 1:10 - And so, I beg you, brothers, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that every one of you speak in the same way, and that there be no schisms among you. So may you become perfect, with the same mind and with the same judgment.

Flp 2:2 - complete my joy by having the same understanding, holding to the same charity, being of one mind, with the same sentiment.

1Pt 3:8 - And finally, may you all be of one mind: compassionate, loving brotherhood, merciful, meek, humble,

Rim 12:18 - If it is possible, in so far as you are able, be at peace with all men.

Heb 12:14 - Pursue peace with everyone. Pursue sanctity, without which no one shall see God.

Greet one another with a holy kiss. All the saints greet you.

Rim 16:16 - Greet one another with a holy kiss. All the churches of Christ greet you.

1Kor 16:20 - All the brothers greet you. Greet one another with a holy kiss.

1Sol 5:26 - Greet all the brothers with a holy kiss.

1Pt 5:14 - Greet one another with a holy kiss. Grace be to all of you who are in Christ Jesus. Amen.

Test yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Examine 669 yourselves. Or do you yourselves not know whether Christ Jesus is in you? But perhaps you are reprobates.

1Kor 11:28 - But let a man examine himself, and, in this way, let him eat from that bread, and drink from that cup.

2Kor 13,1 - Prvý raz bol v Korinte, keď tam založil cirkevnú obec (Sk 18, 1); druhý raz v čase medzi prvým a druhým listom (1, 15 n.). Citát je z Dt 19, 15.

2Kor 13,12 - Svätý bozk je bratský bozk, ktorý si dávali kresťania na liturgických zhromaždeniach (porov. Rim 16, 16; 1 Kor 16, 20; 1 Sol 5, 26).

2Kor 13,13 - Je to najjasnejšie vyjadrená trojičná formula. Pochádza pravdepodobne z liturgie. "Božia láska" – doslovne "láska Boha (Otca)".
