Žalmy

1 (KJV) O God, the heathen are come into thine inheritance; thy holy temple have they defiled; they have laid Jerusalem on heaps.
1 (ROH) Žalm Azafov. Bože, pohania vtrhli do tvojho dedičstva; poškvrnili chrám tvojej svätosti. Obrátili Jeruzalem na hromadu rumov.

2 (KJV) The dead bodies of thy servants have they given to be meat unto the fowls of the heaven, the flesh of thy saints unto the beasts of the earth.
2 (ROH) Dali mŕtve telá tvojich služobníkov za pokrm nebeským vtákom, telá tvojich svätých zemskej zveri.

3 (KJV) Their blood have they shed like water round about Jerusalem; and there was none to bury them.
3 (ROH) Vyliali ich krv ako vodu okolo Jeruzalema, a nebolo toho, kto by pochoval.

4 (KJV) We are become a reproach to our neighbours, a scorn and derision to them that are round about us.
4 (ROH) Stali sme sa potupou svojim súsedom, posmechom a útržkou tým, ktorí sú vôkol nás.

5 (KJV) How long, LORD? wilt thou be angry for ever? shall thy jealousy burn like fire?
5 (ROH) Až dokedy sa budeš hnevať, Hospodine? Či len na veky? Dokedy bude horieť tvoja žiarlivosť ako oheň?

6 (KJV) Pour out thy wrath upon the heathen that have not known thee, and upon the kingdoms that have not called upon thy name.
6 (ROH) Vylej svoj prchký hnev na národy, ktoré ťa neznajú, a na kráľovstvá, ktoré nevzývajú tvojho mena,

7 (KJV) For they have devoured Jacob, and laid waste his dwelling place.
7 (ROH) lebo zjedajú Jakoba a pustošia jeho obydlie.

8 (KJV) O remember not against us former iniquities: let thy tender mercies speedily prevent us: for we are brought very low.
8 (ROH) Nepamätaj nám na neprávosti našich predkov. Nech nás rýchle predídu tvoje milosrdenstvá, lebo sme veľmi zbiedení.

9 (KJV) Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of thy name: and deliver us, and purge away our sins, for thy name's sake.
9 (ROH) Pomôž nám, Bože nášho spasenia, pre slávu svojho mena a vytrhni nás a prikry naše hriechy pre svoje meno!

10 (KJV) Wherefore should the heathen say, Where is their God? let him be known among the heathen in our sight by the revenging of the blood of thy servants which is shed.
10 (ROH) Prečo majú hovoriť pohania: Kdeže je ich Bôh?! Nech sa pozná medzi pohanmi, pred našimi očami, pomsta za krv tvojich služobníkov, ktorá bola vyliata.

11 (KJV) Let the sighing of the prisoner come before thee; according to the greatness of thy power preserve thou those that are appointed to die;
11 (ROH) Nech prijde pred tvoju tvár vzdychanie väzňa! Podľa veľkosti moci svojho ramena učiň to, že by zbudlo zo synov smrti.

12 (KJV) And render unto our neighbours sevenfold into their bosom their reproach, wherewith they have reproached thee, O Lord.
12 (ROH) A odplať našim súsedom sedemnásobne do ich lona za ich potupu, ktorou ťa potupovali, Pane!

13 (KJV) So we thy people and sheep of thy pasture will give thee thanks for ever: we will shew forth thy praise to all generations.
13 (ROH) Ale my, tvoj ľud a stádo tvojej pastvy, ťa budeme chváliť na veky, z pokolenia na pokolenie budeme rozprávať tvoju chválu.
