Biblia - Sväté písmo

(UKJV - Anglický - Updated King James)

Ž 40, 1-18

1 (UKJV) "I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. "
1 (ROH) Náčelníkovi speváckeho sboru. Žalm Dávidov.

2 (UKJV) He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my activities.

3 (UKJV) And he has put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD.

4 (UKJV) Blessed is that man that makes the LORD his trust, and respects not the proud, nor such as turn aside to lies.
4 (ROH) A dal do mojich úst novú pieseň, chválu našemu Bohu.

5 (UKJV) Many, O LORD my God, are your wonderful works which you have done, and your thoughts which are toward us: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto you: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered.

6 (UKJV) "Sacrifice and offering you did not desire; mine ears have you opened: burnt offering and sin offering have you not required. "
Povedal som: Budem to oznamovať a hovoriť o tom.

7 (UKJV) Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me,
7 (ROH) Bitnej obeti a posvätného daru oltárneho si nechcel; uši si mi otvoril. Zápalnej obeti a obeti za hriech si nežiadal.

8 (UKJV) I delight to do your will, O my God: yea, your law is within my heart.

9 (UKJV) I have preached righteousness in the great congregation: lo, I have not refrained my lips, O LORD, you know.
9 (ROH) Činiť tvoju vôľu, môj Bože, si želám, a tvoj zákon je v mojich vnútornostiach.

10 (UKJV) "I have not hid your righteousness within my heart; I have declared your faithfulness and your salvation: I have not concealed your loving kindness and your truth from the great congregation. "
10 (ROH) Zvestoval som spravedlivosť vo veľkom shromaždení; hľa, nezdŕžal som svojich rtov, Hospodine, ty vieš.

11 (UKJV) Withhold not you your tender mercies from me, O LORD: let your loving kindness and your truth continually preserve me.
11 (ROH) Neukryl som tvojej spravedlivosti vo svojom srdci; povedal som o tvojej vernosti a o tvojom spasení. Nezatajil som veľkému shromaždeniu tvojej milosti a tvojej pravdy.

12 (UKJV) "For innumerable evils have compassed me about: mine iniquities have taken hold upon me, so that I am not able to look up; they are more than the hairs of mine head: therefore my heart fails me. "
12 (ROH) A ty, Hospodine, nezadržíš svojej ľútosti odo mňa; tvoja milosť a tvoja pravda nech ma stále ostríhajú!

13 (UKJV) Be pleased, O LORD, to deliver me: O LORD, make haste to help me.

14 (UKJV) "Let them be ashamed and confounded together that seek after my soul to destroy it; let them be driven backward and put to shame that wish me evil. "
14 (ROH) Ráč, ó, Hospodine, vytrhnúť ma! Hospodine, ponáhľaj sa mi na pomoc!

15 (UKJV) Let them be desolate for a reward of their shame that say unto me, Aha, aha.
15 (ROH) Nech sa hanbia a rumenejú všetci dovedna, ktorí hľadajú moju dušu, aby ju zahladili! Nech uhnú zpät a stydia sa, ktorí chcú moje zlé.

16 (UKJV) Let all those that seek you rejoice and be glad in you: let such as love your salvation say continually, The LORD be magnified.
16 (ROH) Nech spustnú pre svoju hanebnosť, všetci tí, ktorí mi hovoria: Aha, aha!

17 (UKJV) "But I am poor and needy; yet the Lord thinks upon me: you are my help and my deliverer; make no tarrying, O my God. "
17 (ROH) Nech sa veselia a radujú v tebe všetci, ktorí ťa hľadajú a nech hovoria povždy: Veľký je Hospodin! všetci tí, ktorí milujú tvoje spasenie!

18 ----
Mojou pomocou a mojím vysloboditeľom si ty, môj Bože. Neodkladaj!

Z 40 - Žalm je mesiášsky.

Z 40,7-11 - V týchto veršoch hovorí žalmista o spôsobe poďakovania za poskytnutú pomoc. Tvrdí, že človek sa môže najlepšie odvďačiť Bohu poslušnosťou, obetou ducha, a nie vonkajšími obetami, ktoré nestoja vonkoncom nič, ak pritom nepodriaďujeme svoju vôľu Božej vôli (Ž 51). "Nepraješ si,… nežiadaš", tieto výrazy neoznačujú v hebrejskej reči výlučne zápor, iba umenšujú, uberajú na dôležitosti veci, o ktorú ide."Vo zvitku"… príkaz plniť Božiu vôľu je napísaný v Písme.Pán žiada od svojho ľudu lásku a oddanosť (Dt 6,6; Prís 3,3; 7,3; Iz 51,7), ale jedine Kristus splnil dokonale tento príkaz a dal nám príklad, ako to máme robiť (Hebr 10,5-7; Jer 31,33; Jn 4,34; 6,38; 5,39; Lk 24,25-27 atď.).

Z 40,14-16 - Verše, čo nasledujú, sú aj v žalme 70. Poniektoré verše sa nachodia aj v žalme 35,4.21.27.
