Žalmy

1 (KJV) In the LORD put I my trust: How say ye to my soul, Flee as a bird to your mountain?
1 (ROH) K Hospodinovi sa utiekam; ako tedy hovoríte mojej duši: Uleť na váš vrch, vtáča!

2 (KJV) For, lo, the wicked bend their bow, they make ready their arrow upon the string, that they may privily shoot at the upright in heart.
2 (ROH) Lebo hľa, bezbožníci natiahli luk; položili svoje šípy na tetivu, aby vo tme strieľali na tých, ktorí sú úprimného srdca.

3 (KJV) If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?
3 (ROH) Keď budú stĺpy poborené, čo vykoná spravedlivý?

4 (KJV) The LORD is in his holy temple, the LORD's throne is in heaven: his eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men.
4 (ROH) Hospodin, ktorý je v chráme svojej svätosti; Hospodin, ktorý má svoj trón na nebesiach, jeho oči hľadia, jeho víčka zkúšajú synov človeka.

5 (KJV) The LORD trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.
5 (ROH) Hospodin zkúša spravedlivého, ale bezbožníka a toho, kto miluje ukrutnosť, nenávidí jeho duša.

6 (KJV) Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and an horrible tempest: this shall be the portion of their cup.
6 (ROH) Dá pršať na bezbožníkov smečky jako dážď, oheň a síru, zúrivý vietor spaľujúci bude čiastkou ich kalicha.

7 (KJV) For the righteous LORD loveth righteousness; his countenance doth behold the upright.
7 (ROH) Lebo Hospodin je spravedlivý; miluje spravedlivosť; jeho tvár zrie úprimného.
