Žalmy

1 (UKJV) O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endures for ever.
1 (ROH) Oslavujte Hospodina, lebo je dobrý, lebo jeho milosť trvá na veky.

2 (UKJV) "Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he has redeemed from the hand of the enemy; "
2 (ROH) Nech tak povedia vykúpení Hospodinovi, ktorý ich vykúpil z ruky protivníka.

3 (UKJV) And gathered them out of the lands, from the east, and from the west, from the north, and from the south.
3 (ROH) A shromaždil ich zo zemí, od východu a od západu, od polnoci aj od mora.

4 (UKJV) "They wandered in the wilderness in a solitary way; they found no city to dwell in. "
4 (ROH) Blúdili po púšti, po pustej ceste, kde nenašli mesta na bývanie.

5 (UKJV) Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them.
5 (ROH) Boli hladní i smädní; ich duša omdlievala v nich.

6 (UKJV) Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses.
6 (ROH) A keď kričali vo svojom súžení na Hospodina, vytrhnul ich z ich úzkosti

7 (UKJV) And he led them forth by the right way, that they might go to a city of habitation.
7 (ROH) a viedol ich po rovnej ceste, aby išli do mesta na bývanie.

8 (UKJV) Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
8 (ROH) Nech oslavujú Hospodina pre jeho milosť a pre jeho divy pred synmi človeka,

9 (UKJV) For he satisfies the longing soul, and fills the hungry soul with goodness.
9 (ROH) (lebo nasycuje práhnúcu dušu a hladovitú dušu naplňuje dobrým)

10 (UKJV) "Such as sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, being bound in affliction and iron; "
10 (ROH) tí, ktorí sedeli vo tme a v tôni smrti, spútaní biedou a železom,

11 (UKJV) Because they rebelled against the words of God, and contemned the counsel of the most High:
11 (ROH) pretože odporovali rečiam silného Boha a opovrhli radou Najvyššieho,

12 (UKJV) "Therefore he brought down their heart with labour; they fell down, and there was none to help. "
12 (ROH) a preto zohnul ich srdce trápením; klesli, a nebolo toho, kto by bol pomohol.

13 (UKJV) Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saved them out of their distresses.
13 (ROH) A keď volali na Hospodina vo svojom súžení, zachránil ich z ich úzkosti.

14 (UKJV) He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and brake their bands in two.
14 (ROH) Vyviedol ich zo tmy a z tône smrti a ich povrazy potrhal.

15 (UKJV) Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
15 (ROH) Nech oslavujú Hospodina pre jeho milosť a pre jeho divy pred synmi človeka,

16 (UKJV) For he has broken the gates of brass, and cut the bars of iron in two.
16 (ROH) pretože polámal medené dvere a posekal železné závory.

17 (UKJV) Fools because of their transgression, and because of their iniquities, are afflicted.
17 (ROH) Nesmyselní, trápili sa pre cestu svojho prestúpenia a pre svoje neprávosti!

18 (UKJV) "Their soul detests all manner of food; and they draw near unto the gates of death. "
18 (ROH) Ich duša si ošklivila každý pokrm, a priblížili sa až k bránam smrti.

19 (UKJV) Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saves them out of their distresses.
19 (ROH) Ale keď kričali na Hospodina vo svojom súžení, zachránil ich z ich úzkostí.

20 (UKJV) He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.
20 (ROH) Znova a znova poslal svoje slovo a uzdravoval ich a vyslobodzoval z ich mnohej záhuby.

21 (UKJV) Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
21 (ROH) Nech oslavujú Hospodina pre jeho milosť a pre jeho divy pred synmi človeka!

22 (UKJV) And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare his works with rejoicing.
22 (ROH) Nech obetujú obeti chvály a rozprávajú jeho skutky s plesaním.

23 (UKJV) "They that go down to the sea in ships, that do business in great waters; "
23 (ROH) Tí, ktorí sa plavia po mori na lodiach, ktorí pracujú na veľkých vodách,

24 (UKJV) These see the works of the LORD, and his wonders in the deep.
24 (ROH) tí vidia skutky Hospodinove a jeho divy v hlbine.

25 (UKJV) For he commands, and raises the stormy wind, which lifts up the waves thereof.
25 (ROH) Lebo keď len povie, spôsobí to, že povstane búrlivý vietor, ktorý do vysoka dvíha jeho vlny.

26 (UKJV) They mount up to the heaven, they go down again to the depths: their soul is melted because of trouble.
26 (ROH) Hneď vystupujú akoby do neba, hneď zase sostupujú do priepasti; ich duša sa rozplýva v nebezpečenstve.

27 (UKJV) They reel back and forth, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their know's end.
27 (ROH) Motajú a klátia sa jako opilý, a všetka ich múdrosť je tam!

28 (UKJV) Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he brings them out of their distresses.
28 (ROH) A keď kričia na Hospodina vo svojom súžení, vyvodí ich z ich úzkostí.

29 (UKJV) He makes the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still.
29 (ROH) Zastavuje búrku a obracia ju na tíšinu, a umĺkajú ich vlny.

30 (UKJV) "Then are they glad because they be quiet; so he brings them unto their desired haven. "
30 (ROH) Plavci sa radujú, že utíchly, a on ich vedie do prístavu ich želania.

31 (UKJV) Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
31 (ROH) Nech oslavujú Hospodina pre jeho milosť a pre jeho divy pred synmi človeka.

32 (UKJV) Let them exalt him also in the congregation of the people, and praise him in the assembly of the elders.
32 (ROH) Nech ho vyvyšujú v shromaždení ľudu, a nech ho chvália v zasadnutí starcov.

33 (UKJV) "He turns rivers into a wilderness, and the fountains into dry ground; "
33 (ROH) Obracia rieky na púšť a vodné pramene na vypráhlu sušinu,

34 (UKJV) A fruitful land into barrenness, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein.
34 (ROH) úrodnú zem na slatinu pre zlosť obyvateľov, ktorí bývajú v nej.

35 (UKJV) He turns the wilderness into a standing water, and dry ground into fountains.
35 (ROH) Obracia púšť na jazero vody a vypráhlu zem na pramene vôd.

36 (UKJV) "And there he makes the hungry to dwell, that they may prepare a city for habitation; "
36 (ROH) Osadzuje tam hladných, a postavia si tam mesto na bývanie.

37 (UKJV) And sow the fields, and plant vineyards, which may yield fruits of increase.
37 (ROH) A posievajú polia, sadia vinice a nadobúdajú plodu úrody.

38 (UKJV) "He blesses them also, so that they are multiplied greatly; and suffers not their cattle to decrease. "
38 (ROH) Žehná im, a množia sa veľmi, a ich dobytka neumenšuje.

39 (UKJV) Again, they are diminished and brought low through oppression, affliction, and sorrow.
39 (ROH) A zase, keď chce, ubúda ich a bývajú snížení od sovrenia, všelijakého strádania a od žiaľu.

40 (UKJV) He pours contempt upon princes, and causes them to wander in the wilderness, where there is no way.
40 (ROH) Vylieva opovrženie na kniežatá a dáva, aby blúdili po pustine, kde nieto cesty.

41 (UKJV) Yet sets he the poor on high from affliction, and makes him families like a flock.
41 (ROH) Povyšuje chudobného z trápenia a rozmnožuje rodiny jako stádo oviec.

42 (UKJV) The righteous shall see it, and rejoice: and all iniquity shall stop her mouth.
42 (ROH) Uvidia to úprimní a budú sa radovať, ale každá neprávosť zapchá svoje ústa.

43 (UKJV) Whoso is wise, and will observe these things, even they shall understand the loving kindness of the LORD.
43 (ROH) Kto je múdry, bude to ostríhať, a takí porozumejú rôznej milosti Hospodinovej.
