Gn 22, 1-24

1 (CPDV) After these things occurred, God tested Abraham, and he said to him, “Abraham, Abraham.” And he answered, “Here I am.”

2 (CPDV) He said to him: “Take your only begotten son Isaac, whom you love, and go into the land of vision. And there you shall offer him as a holocaust upon one of the mountains, which I will show to you.”
2 (ROH) A riekol: Nože vezmi svojho syna, toho svojho jediného, ktorého miluješ, Izáka, a idi do zeme Morija a obetuj ho tam v zápalnú obeť na jednom z tých vrchov, o ktorom ti poviem.

3 (CPDV) And so Abraham, getting up in the night, harnessed his donkey, taking with him two youths, and his son Isaac. And when he had cut wood for the holocaust, he traveled toward the place, as God had instructed him.
3 (ROH) A Abrahám vstal skoro ráno, osedlal svojho osla a pojal so sebou dvoch svojich sluhov a Izáka svojho syna, naštiepal dreva k zápalnej obeti a vstal a išiel na miesto, o ktorom mu povedal Bôh.

4 (CPDV) Then, on the third day, lifting up his eyes, he saw the place at a distance.
4 (ROH) Potom na tretí deň pozdvihol Abrahám svoje oči a uvidel miesto zďaleka.

5 (CPDV) And he said to his servants: “Wait here with the donkey. I and the boy will hurry further ahead to that place. After we have worshipped, will return to you.”
5 (ROH) A Abrahám povedal svojim sluhom: Zostaňte tu s oslom, a ja a chlapec pojdeme až tamto, a keď sa tam pokloníme, navrátime sa k vám.

6 (CPDV) He also took the wood for the holocaust, and he imposed it upon his son Isaac. And he himself carried in his hands fire and a sword. And as the two continued on together,
6 (ROH) A Abrahám vzal drevo k zápalnej obeti a položil ho na Izáka, svojho syna, a sám vzal do svojej ruky oheň a nôž. A tak išli obidvaja spolu.

7 (CPDV) Isaac said to his father, “My father.” And he answered, “What do you want, son?” “Behold,” he said, “fire and wood. Where is the victim for the holocaust?”
7 (ROH) Vtedy povedal Izák Abrahámovi, svojmu otcovi, a riekol: Môj otče! A on odpovedal: Čo chceš, môj synu? A Izák povedal: Hľa, máme oheň i drevo, a kdeže je ovečka na zápalnú obeť?

8 (CPDV) But Abraham said, “God himself will provide the victim for the holocaust, my son.” Thus they continued on together.
8 (ROH) A Abrahám riekol: Bôh si opatrí ovečku na zápalnú obeť, môj synu. A zase len išli obidvaja spolu.

9 (CPDV) And they came to the place that God had shown to him. There he built an altar, and he set the wood in order upon it. And when he had bound his son Isaac, he laid him on the altar upon the pile of wood.

10 (CPDV) And he reached out his hand and took hold of the sword, in order to sacrifice his son.
10 (ROH) A Abrahám vystrel svoju ruku a vzal nôž, aby zabil svojho syna.

11 (CPDV) And behold, an Angel of the Lord called out from heaven, saying, “Abraham, Abraham.” And he answered, “Here I am.”
11 (ROH) Ale tu zavolal na neho anjel Hospodinov z neba a riekol: Abraháme, Abraháme! Ktorý odpovedal: Tu som, Pane!

12 (CPDV) And he said to him, “Do not extend your hand over the boy, and do not do anything to him. Now I know that you fear God, since you have not spared your only begotten son for my sake.”
12 (ROH) A riekol: Nevzťahuj svojej ruky na chlapca a neučiň mu ničoho, lebo teraz už viem, že sa bojíš Boha a neodoprel si mi ani svojho syna, toho svojho jediného.

13 (CPDV) Abraham lifted up his eyes, and he saw behind his back a ram among the thorns, caught by the horns, which he took and offered as a holocaust, instead of his son.
A Abrahám pošiel, vzal barana a obetoval ho v zápalnú obeť miesto svojho syna.

14 (CPDV) And he called the name of that place: ‘The Lord Sees.’ Thus, even to this day, it is said: ‘On the mountain, the Lord will see.’

15 (CPDV) Then the Angel of the Lord called out to Abraham a second time from heaven, saying:

16 (CPDV) “By my own self, I have sworn, says the Lord. Because you have done this thing, and have not spared your only begotten son for my sake,
16 (ROH) a riekol: Na seba samého som prisahal, hovorí Hospodin, lebo preto, že si učinil túto vec a neodoprel si mi ani svojho syna, toho svojho jediného,

17 (CPDV) I will bless you, and I will multiply your offspring like the stars of heaven, and like the sand which is on the seashore. Your offspring will possess the gates of their enemies.

18 (CPDV) And in your offspring, all the nations of the earth will be blessed, because you obeyed my voice.”
18 (ROH) a v tvojom semene budú požehnané všetky národy zeme, pretože si poslúchol na môj hlas.

19 (CPDV) Abraham returned to his servants, and they went to Beersheba together, and he lived there.
19 (ROH) Vtedy sa navrátil Abrahám ku svojim sluhom, a vstali a išli spolu do Bér-šeby. A Abrahám býval v Bér-šebe.

20 (CPDV) After these things occurred, it was reported to Abraham that Milcah, likewise, had borne sons for his brother Nahor:

21 (CPDV) Uz, the firstborn, and Buz, his brother, and Kemuel, the father of the Syrians,
21 (ROH) Úca, jeho prvorodeného, a Búza jeho brata, a Kemuela, otca Aramovho,

22 (CPDV) and Chesed, and Hazo, likewise Pildash, and Jidlaph,
22 (ROH) a Kézeda a Chazó-va a Pildáša a Jidlafa a Betuela.

23 (CPDV) as well as Bethuel, of whom was born Rebekah. These eight Milcah bore for Nahor, the brother of Abraham.
23 (ROH) A Betuel splodil Rebeku. Týchto osem splodila Milka Náchorovi, bratovi Abrahámovmu.

24 (CPDV) In truth, his concubine, named Reumah, bore Tebah, and Gaham, and Tahash, and Maacah.
24 (ROH) A jeho ženina, ktorej bolo meno Reúma, tiež porodila, a to Tébacha a Gachama a Tachaša a Máchu.

Gn 22, 1-24

Verš 16
“By my own self, I have sworn, says the Lord. Because you have done this thing, and have not spared your only begotten son for my sake,
Lk 1:73 - the oath, which he swore to Abraham, our father, that he would grant to us,
Heb 6:13 - For God, in making promises to Abraham, swore by himself, (because he had no one greater by whom he might swear),

Verš 9
And they came to the place that God had shown to him. There he built an altar, and he set the wood in order upon it. And when he had bound his son Isaac, he laid him on the altar upon the pile of wood.
Jak 2:21 - Was not our father Abraham justified by means of works, by offering his son Isaac upon the altar?

Verš 2
He said to him: “Take your only begotten son Isaac, whom you love, and go into the land of vision. And there you shall offer him as a holocaust upon one of the mountains, which I will show to you.”
Heb 11:17 - By faith, Abraham, when he was tested, offered Isaac, so that he who had received the promises was offering up his only son.

Verš 18
And in your offspring, all the nations of the earth will be blessed, because you obeyed my voice.”
Gn 12:3 - I will bless those who bless you, and curse those who curse you, and in you all the families of the earth will be blessed.”
Gn 18:18 - since he will become a great and very robust nation, and in him all the nations of the earth will be blessed?
Gn 26:4 - And I will multiply your offspring like the stars of heaven. And I will give to your posterity all these regions. And in your offspring all the nations of the earth will be blessed,
Sk 3:25 - You are sons of the prophets and of the testament which God has appointed for our fathers, saying to Abraham: ‘And by your offspring all the families of the earth shall be blessed.’
Gal 3:8 - Thus Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, foretold to Abraham: “All nations shall be blessed in you.”

Verš 17
I will bless you, and I will multiply your offspring like the stars of heaven, and like the sand which is on the seashore. Your offspring will possess the gates of their enemies.
Gn 24:60 - wishing prosperity for their sister, by saying: “You are our sister. May you increase to thousands of thousands. And may your offspring possess the gates of their enemies.”

Abrahám vykonal v duchu obetu svojho syna.
