Gn 13, 1-18

1 (UKJV) And Abram went up out of Egypt, he, and his wife, and all that he had, and Lot with him, into the south.
1 (KAT) Abram teda tiahol aj so svojou ženou a so všetkým, čo mal, a Lot s ním, naspäť do Negebu.

2 (UKJV) And Abram was very rich in cattle, in silver, and in gold.
2 (KAT) Abram mal množstvo stád, striebra a zlata.

3 (UKJV) "And he went on his journeys from the south even to Bethel, unto the place where his tent had been at the beginning, between Bethel and Hai; "
3 (KAT) A došiel na svoje stanovisko z juhu až k Betelu, na miesto, kde predtým rozložil svoj stan medzi Betelom a Hajom,

4 (UKJV) Unto the place of the altar, which he had make there at the first: and there Abram called on the name of the LORD.
4 (KAT) na miesto oltára, ktorý tam predtým postavil, kde Abram vzýval meno Pánovo.

5 (UKJV) And Lot also, which went with Abram, had flocks, and herds, and tents.
5 (KAT) Lenže aj Lot, ktorý bol s Abramom, mal ovce, dobytok a stany

6 (UKJV) And the land was not able to bear them, that they might dwell together: for their substance was great, so that they could not dwell together.
6 (KAT) a krajina im nestačila na spoločné bývanie, lebo ich majetok bol veľký; a tak nemohli zostať spolu.

7 (UKJV) And there was a strife between the herdmen of Abram's cattle and the herdmen of Lot's cattle: and the Canaanite and the Perizzite dwelled then in the land.
7 (KAT) Medzi pastiermi Abramových stád a medzi pastiermi Lotových stád povstala zvada. A v krajine vtedy bývali Kanaánčania a Ferezejci.

8 (UKJV) "And Abram said unto Lot, Let there be no strife, I pray you, between me and you, and between my herdmen and your herdmen; for we be brethren. "
8 (KAT) Preto povedal Abram Lotovi: „Nech nie sú rozbroje medzi mnou a tebou, medzi mojimi pastiermi a tvojimi pastiermi; sme predsa bratia!

9 (UKJV) "Is not the whole land before you? separate yourself, I pray you, from me: if you will take the left hand, then I will go to the right; or if you depart to the right hand, then I will go to the left. "
9 (KAT) Či nie je pred tebou celá krajina?! Preto sa, prosím, odlúč odo mňa! Ak ty pôjdeš naľavo, ja pôjdem napravo, ak ty napravo, ja pôjdem naľavo!“

10 (UKJV) And Lot lifted up his eyes, and beheld all the plain of Jordan, that it was well watered every where, before the LORD destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, even as the garden of the LORD, like the land of Egypt, as you come unto Zoar.
10 (KAT) Tu zdvihol Lot oči a videl, že celé okolie Jordánu až po Segor - to bolo predtým, ako Pán zničil Sodomu a Gomoru - je zavlažované ako Pánov raj, ako egyptská krajina.

11 (UKJV) "Then Lot chose him all the plain of Jordan; and Lot journeyed east: and they separated themselves the one from the other. "
11 (KAT) Preto si Lot vybral celú krajinu okolo Jordánu a odtiahol na východ. Takto sa bratia oddelili jeden od druhého.

12 (UKJV) Abram dwelled in the land of Canaan, and Lot dwelled in the cities of the plain, and pitched his tent toward Sodom.
12 (KAT) Abram býval v krajine Kanaán, Lot sa zdržoval v mestách okolo Jordánu a utáboril sa aj v Sodome.

13 (UKJV) But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the LORD exceedingly.
13 (KAT) Ale Sodomčania boli zlí a veľmi hrešili proti Pánovi.

14 (UKJV) And the LORD said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now your eyes, and look from the place where you are northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward:
14 (KAT) Keď sa Lot od neho odlúčil, Pán povedal Abramovi: „Zdvihni oči a z miesta, na ktorom si, hľaď na sever a na juh, na východ i na západ,

15 (UKJV) For all the land which you see, to you will I give it, and to your seed for ever.
15 (KAT) lebo celú zem, ktorú vidíš, dám tebe a tvojmu potomstvu naveky.

16 (UKJV) And I will make your seed as the dust of the earth: so that if a man can number the dust of the earth, then shall your seed also be numbered.
16 (KAT) Rozmnožím tvoje potomstvo ako prach na zemi. Ak teda niekto dokáže spočítať prach na zemi, bude môcť spočítať aj tvoje potomstvo.

17 (UKJV) "Arise, walk through the land in the length of it and in the breadth of it; for I will give it unto you. "
17 (KAT) Vstaň a prejdi krajinu po dĺžke i po šírke, lebo ju dám tebe!“

18 (UKJV) Then Abram removed his tent, and came and dwelt in the plain of Mamre, which is in Hebron, and built there an altar unto the LORD.
18 (KAT) Abram vzal svoj stan a šiel, a osadil sa pri terebintoch Mamreho, čo sú v Hebrone, a postavil tam Pánovi oltár.

Verš 3

"And he went on his journeys from the south even to Bethel, unto the place where his tent had been at the beginning, between Bethel and Hai; "

Gn 12:8 - And he removed from thence unto a mountain on the east of Bethel, and pitched his tent, having Bethel on the west, and Hai on the east: and there he built an altar unto the LORD, and called upon the name of the LORD.

Verš 4

Unto the place of the altar, which he had make there at the first: and there Abram called on the name of the LORD.

Gn 4:26 - "And to Seth, to him also there was born a son; and he called his name Enos: then began men to call upon the name of the LORD. "

Verš 6

And the land was not able to bear them, that they might dwell together: for their substance was great, so that they could not dwell together.

Gn 36:7 - "For their riches were more than that they might dwell together; and the land wherein they were strangers could not bear them because of their cattle. "

Verš 7

And there was a strife between the herdmen of Abram's cattle and the herdmen of Lot's cattle: and the Canaanite and the Perizzite dwelled then in the land.

Gn 12:6 - And Abram passed through the land unto the place of Sichem, unto the plain of Moreh. And the Canaanite was then in the land.

Verš 9

"Is not the whole land before you? separate yourself, I pray you, from me: if you will take the left hand, then I will go to the right; or if you depart to the right hand, then I will go to the left. "

Gn 20:15 - And Abimelech said, Behold, my land is before you: dwell where it pleases you.

Gn 34:10 - "And all of you shall dwell with us: and the land shall be before you; dwell and trade all of you therein, and get you possessions therein. "

Verš 13

But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the LORD exceedingly.

Gn 18:20 - "And the LORD said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous; "

Ez 16:49 - Behold, this was the iniquity of your sister Sodom, pride, fullness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.

Verš 15

For all the land which you see, to you will I give it, and to your seed for ever.

Gn 12:7 - And the LORD appeared unto Abram, and said, Unto your seed will I give this land: and there built he an altar unto the LORD, who appeared unto him.

Gn 15:7 - And he said unto him, I am the LORD that brought you out of Ur of the Chaldees, to give you this land to inherit it.

Gn 15:18 - In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto your seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates:

Gn 17:8 - "And I will give unto you, and to your seed after you, the land wherein you are a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God. "

Gn 26:4 - "And I will make your seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto your seed all these countries; and in your seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; "

Dt 34:4 - And the LORD said unto him, This is the land which I swore unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, saying, I will give it unto your seed: I have caused you to see it with your eyes, but you shall not go over thither.

Sk 7:5 - And he gave him none inheritance in it, no, not so much as to set his foot on: yet he promised that he would give it to him for a possession, and to his seed after him, when as yet he had no child.

Verš 16

And I will make your seed as the dust of the earth: so that if a man can number the dust of the earth, then shall your seed also be numbered.

Gn 15:5 - And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if you be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall your seed be.

Gn 17:4 - As for me, behold, my covenant is with you, and you shall be a father of many nations.

Dt 10:22 - "Your fathers went down into Egypt with threescore and ten persons; and now the LORD your God has made you as the stars of heaven for multitude. "

Jer 33:22 - As the host of heaven cannot be numbered, neither the sand of the sea measured: so will I multiply the seed of David my servant, and the Levites that minister unto me.

Rim 4:17 - (As it is written, I have made you a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who replenishes life to the dead, and calls those things which be not as though they were.

Heb 11:12 - Therefore sprang there even of one, and him as good as dead, so many as the stars of the sky in multitude, and as the sand which is by the sea shore innumerable.

Verš 18

Then Abram removed his tent, and came and dwelt in the plain of Mamre, which is in Hebron, and built there an altar unto the LORD.

Gn 14:13 - "And there came one that had escaped, and told Abram the Hebrew; for he dwelt in the plain of Mamre the Amorite, brother of Eshcol, and brother of Aner: and these were confederate with Abram. "

Gn 13,9-12 - Bratia v širšom zmysle slova, teda príbuzní. Lot si volí Jordánske údolie medzi Genezaretským jazerom a Mŕtvym morom. Segor bolo jedno z piatich miest južne od Mŕtveho mora v tzv. údolí Sidim. V tom čase Mŕtve more nesiahalo na juh tak ďaleko ako po zničení Sodomy a Gomory, ktoré Mŕtve more zalialo.

Gn 13,14-18 - Abram ostal v Kanaáne a Boh ho odmeňuje za jeho pokojamilovnosť a veľkodušnosť. Pán mu opakuje prísľub z 12,7 a dodáva, že túto krajinu dá jeho potomstvu, ak ostanú verní. Mamre by bol podľa Gn 14,13.24 Amorejčan, Abramov spojenec. Hebron je známe palestínske mesto asi 70 km na juh od Jeruzalema.
