Žalmy

1 (KJV) I will praise thee, O LORD, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all thy marvellous works.

2 (KJV) I will be glad and rejoice in thee: I will sing praise to thy name, O thou most High.
2 (ROH) Oslavovať ťa budem, Hospodine, celým svojím srdcom, budem rozprávať všetky tvoje divy.

3 (KJV) When mine enemies are turned back, they shall fall and perish at thy presence.
3 (ROH) Radovať sa budem a plesať v tebe, žalmy budem spievať tvojemu menu, ó, Najvyšší!

4 (KJV) For thou hast maintained my right and my cause; thou satest in the throne judging right.
4 (ROH) Lebo moji nepriatelia sa obrátili nazad, klesli a zahynuli od tvojej tvári,

5 (KJV) Thou hast rebuked the heathen, thou hast destroyed the wicked, thou hast put out their name for ever and ever.
5 (ROH) lebo si rozsúdil môj súd a moju pravotu; sadol si na prestol, spravedlivý sudca.

6 (KJV) O thou enemy, destructions are come to a perpetual end: and thou hast destroyed cities; their memorial is perished with them.
6 (ROH) Ohromil si národy; zahubil si bezbožníka; zahladil si ich meno na večné veky.

7 (KJV) But the LORD shall endure for ever: he hath prepared his throne for judgment.
7 (ROH) Nepriateľu, dokonané sú tvoje pustošenia na večnosť, a poboril si mestá; zahynula s nimi aj ich pamiatka.

8 (KJV) And he shall judge the world in righteousness, he shall minister judgment to the people in uprightness.
8 (ROH) Ale Hospodin tróni na veky; svoj trón stavia nato, aby súdil.

9 (KJV) The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble.
9 (ROH) On bude súdiť okruh sveta v spravedlivosti; rozsúdi národy v pravosti.

10 (KJV) And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.
10 (ROH) A Hospodin bude vysokým útočišťom potlačenému, vysokým útočišťom v časoch súženia.

11 (KJV) Sing praises to the LORD, which dwelleth in Zion: declare among the people his doings.
11 (ROH) A budú v teba dúfať tí, ktorí znajú tvoje meno; lebo ty neopustíš tých, ktorí ťa hľadajú, ó, Hospodine.

12 (KJV) When he maketh inquisition for blood, he remembereth them: he forgetteth not the cry of the humble.
12 (ROH) Spievajte žalmy Hospodinovi, tomu, ktorý prebýva na Sione; zvestujte medzi národami jeho skutky;

13 (KJV) Have mercy upon me, O LORD; consider my trouble which I suffer of them that hate me, thou that liftest me up from the gates of death:
13 (ROH) lebo on vyhľadáva vyliatu krv a pamätá na ňu, nezabúda na krik utrápených.

14 (KJV) That I may shew forth all thy praise in the gates of the daughter of Zion: I will rejoice in thy salvation.
14 (ROH) Zmiluj sa nado mnou, Hospodine; vidz moje trápenie, ktoré znášam od tých, ktorí ma nenávidia, ty, ktorý ma vyzdvihuješ z brán smrti,

15 (KJV) The heathen are sunk down in the pit that they made: in the net which they hid is their own foot taken.
15 (ROH) aby som rozprával všetky tvoje chvály v bránach dcéry Siona a plesal v tvojom spasení.

16 (KJV) The LORD is known by the judgment which he executeth: the wicked is snared in the work of his own hands. Higgaion. Selah.
16 (ROH) Pohania sa pohrúžili do jamy, ktorú urobili, a ich noha sa lapila do siete, ktorú ukryli.

17 (KJV) The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God.
17 (ROH) Hospodin sa učinil známym; vykonal súd; bezbožník sa zaplietol do diela svojich vlastných rúk. Higgájon. Sélah.

18 (KJV) For the needy shall not alway be forgotten: the expectation of the poor shall not perish for ever.
18 (ROH) Bezbožníci sa obrátia do pekla jako aj všetky národy, ktoré zabudly na Boha.

19 (KJV) Arise, O LORD; let not man prevail: let the heathen be judged in thy sight.
19 (ROH) Lebo nebude chudobný zabudnutý na veky; nádej ponížených nezahynie na večnosť.

20 (KJV) Put them in fear, O LORD: that the nations may know themselves to be but men. Selah.
20 (ROH) Povstaň, Hospodine, nech nezmocneje smrteľný človek; nech sú národy súdené pred tvojou tvárou.

21 (ROH) Pusti na nich strach, ó, Hospodine, aby vedely národy, že sú iba biednymi smrteľníkmi. Sélah.
