Est 1, 1-44

1 (KJV) Now it came to pass in the days of Ahasuerus, (this is Ahasuerus which reigned, from India even unto Ethiopia, over an hundred and seven and twenty provinces:)

1 (KJV) Now it came to pass in the days of Ahasuerus, (this is Ahasuerus which reigned, from India even unto Ethiopia, over an hundred and seven and twenty provinces:)

2 (KJV) That in those days, when the king Ahasuerus sat on the throne of his kingdom, which was in Shushan the palace,
3 (ROH) v treťom roku svojho kraľovania, urobil hostinu všetkým svojim kniežatám a svojim služobníkom. Vojsko Peržanov a Médov, veľmoži a kniežatá jednotlivých krajín boli pred ním,

2 (KJV) That in those days, when the king Ahasuerus sat on the throne of his kingdom, which was in Shushan the palace,
4 (ROH) keď ukazoval bohatstvo slávy svojho kráľovstva a skvosty, nádheru svojho veličenstva, za mnoho dní, za sto osemdesiat dní.

3 (KJV) In the third year of his reign, he made a feast unto all his princes and his servants; the power of Persia and Media, the nobles and princes of the provinces, being before him:

3 (KJV) In the third year of his reign, he made a feast unto all his princes and his servants; the power of Persia and Media, the nobles and princes of the provinces, being before him:
6 (ROH) Boly tam na kmentových a šarlatových povrázkoch pripevnené biele, zelené a hyacintovomodré čalúny, na strieborných krúžkoch a na stĺpoch z bieleho mramoru, lože, zlaté a strieborné, na dlažbe zo zeleného, bieleho, žltého a čierneho mramoru.

4 (KJV) When he shewed the riches of his glorious kingdom and the honour of his excellent majesty many days, even an hundred and fourscore days.
7 (ROH) A nápoj podávali v zlatých nádobách, a to v nádobách iných a iných, a kráľovského vína hojne, podľa kráľovej veľkej možnosti.

4 (KJV) When he shewed the riches of his glorious kingdom and the honour of his excellent majesty many days, even an hundred and fourscore days.

5 (KJV) And when these days were expired, the king made a feast unto all the people that were present in Shushan the palace, both unto great and small, seven days, in the court of the garden of the king's palace;
9 (ROH) I kráľovná Vasta spravila hostinu ženám v kráľovskom dome, ktorý patril kráľovi Ahasverovi.

5 (KJV) And when these days were expired, the king made a feast unto all the people that were present in Shushan the palace, both unto great and small, seven days, in the court of the garden of the king's palace;
10 (ROH) Potom siedmeho dňa, keď sa bolo rozveselilo srdce kráľovo vínom, rozkázal Mehúmanovi, Bizetovi, Charbonovi, Bigtovi a Abagtovi, Zetarovi a Karkasovi, siedmim komorníkom, ktorí slúžili pred kráľom Ahasverom,

6 (KJV) Where were white, green, and blue, hangings, fastened with cords of fine linen and purple to silver rings and pillars of marble: the beds were of gold and silver, upon a pavement of red, and blue, and white, and black, marble.
11 (ROH) aby doviedli kráľovnú Vastu pred kráľa v kráľovskej korune, aby ukázal národom a kniežatám jej krásu, preto že bola pekného vzozrenia.

6 (KJV) Where were white, green, and blue, hangings, fastened with cords of fine linen and purple to silver rings and pillars of marble: the beds were of gold and silver, upon a pavement of red, and blue, and white, and black, marble.

7 (KJV) And they gave them drink in vessels of gold, (the vessels being diverse one from another,) and royal wine in abundance, according to the state of the king.
13 (ROH) A kráľ povedal mudrcom, znajúcim časy (lebo tak sa riešila vec kráľova, pred všetkými znalými zákona a práva;

7 (KJV) And they gave them drink in vessels of gold, (the vessels being diverse one from another,) and royal wine in abundance, according to the state of the king.

8 (KJV) And the drinking was according to the law; none did compel: for so the king had appointed to all the officers of his house, that they should do according to every man's pleasure.
15 (ROH) Čo urobiť podľa zákona kráľovnej Vaste, keď nevykonala rozkazu kráľa Ahasvera, vyriadeného po komorníkoch?

8 (KJV) And the drinking was according to the law; none did compel: for so the king had appointed to all the officers of his house, that they should do according to every man's pleasure.
16 (ROH) Vtedy povedal Memúchan pred kráľom a pred kniežatami: Nie len proti samému kráľovi prehrešila sa kráľovná Vasta, ale aj proti všetkým kniežatám a proti všetkým národom, ktoré sú vo všetkých krajinách kráľa Ahasvera.

9 (KJV) Also Vashti the queen made a feast for the women in the royal house which belonged to king Ahasuerus.
17 (ROH) Lebo to, čo urobila kráľovná, roznesie sa ku všetkým ženám, a bude to na to, aby pohŕdly svojimi mužmi vo svojich očiach, keď povedia: Kráľ Ahasver rozkázal doviesť kráľovnú Vastu pred seba, a neprišla.

9 (KJV) Also Vashti the queen made a feast for the women in the royal house which belonged to king Ahasuerus.
18 (ROH) Áno, už tohoto dňa to budú hovoriť kňahyne Peržanov a Médov, ktoré počuly o tom, čo urobila kráľovná, všetkým kniežatám kráľovým, a naplodí sa hojne opovrženia a hnevu.

10 (KJV) On the seventh day, when the heart of the king was merry with wine, he commanded Mehuman, Biztha, Harbona, Bigtha, and Abagtha, Zethar, and Carcas, the seven chamberlains that served in the presence of Ahasuerus the king,
19 (ROH) Jestli sa tedy vidí kráľovi za dobré, nech vyjde kráľovský rozkaz zpred jeho tvári, a nech sa to napíše medzi zákony Peržanov a Médov, aby toho nikto neprekročil, že Vasta neprijde viacej pred kráľa Ahasvera, a jej kráľovstvo nech dá kráľ jej družke, ktorá je lepšia než ona.

10 (KJV) On the seventh day, when the heart of the king was merry with wine, he commanded Mehuman, Biztha, Harbona, Bigtha, and Abagtha, Zethar, and Carcas, the seven chamberlains that served in the presence of Ahasuerus the king,

11 (KJV) To bring Vashti the queen before the king with the crown royal, to shew the people and the princes her beauty: for she was fair to look on.
21 (ROH) A slovo bolo dobré v očiach kráľa i kniežat. A tak učinil kráľ podľa slova Memúchanovho.

11 (KJV) To bring Vashti the queen before the king with the crown royal, to shew the people and the princes her beauty: for she was fair to look on.
22 (ROH) A rozoslal listy do všetkých krajín kráľových, do každej krajiny jej vlastným písmom a ku každému národu v jeho vlastnom jazyku, aby bol každý muž pánom vo svojom dome a hovoril to jazykom svojho ľudu.

12 (KJV) But the queen Vashti refused to come at the king's commandment by his chamberlains: therefore was the king very wroth, and his anger burned in him.

Est 1, 1-44

Boli to kráľovskí ministri, ktorí vykonávali štátne záležitosti.

Podľa hebrejského: nech ho zapíšu do zákonníka (porov. 9,27 n.; Dan 6,9.13).

Est 1,22 - "Rozposlal listiny": vydal písané ustanovenie, teda výnos. Vo viacjazyčnej Perzskej ríši bolo zvykom uverejňovať zákony v rozličných jazykoch a písmach, aby im všetci mohli porozumieť.
