2Kor 2, 1-17

1 (CPDV) But I determined this within myself, not to return again to you in sorrow.
1 (ROH) Ale to som usúdil v sebe: neprijsť k vám zase so zármutkom.

2 (CPDV) For if I make you sorrowful, then who is it that can make me glad, except the one who is made sorrowful by me?
2 (ROH) Lebo ak ja vás zarmútim, ktože je potom, kto mňa rozveselí krome toho, koho som ja zarmútil?!

3 (CPDV) And so, I wrote this same thing to you, so that I might not, when I arrive, add sorrow to sorrow for those with whom I ought to rejoice, having confidence in you in all things, so that my joy may be entirely yours.
3 (ROH) A toto isté som vám napísal, aby som, keď prijdem, nemal zármutku od tých, ktorým by som sa mal radovať, dôverujúc vo všetkých vás, že moja radosť je radosťou všetkých vás.

4 (CPDV) For with much tribulation and anguish of heart, I wrote to you with many tears: not so that you would be sorrowful, but so that you might know the charity that I have more abundantly toward you.
4 (ROH) Lebo z mnohého súženia a zovretia srdca som vám písal s mnohými slzami, nie aby ste sa zarmútili, ale aby ste poznali lásku, ktorej mám hojnejšie naproti vám.

5 (CPDV) But if anyone has brought sorrow, he has not sorrowed me. Yet, for my part, this is so that I might not burden all of you.
5 (ROH) A jestli niekto zarmútil, nie mňa zarmútil, ale z čiastky, aby som nepretiažil, zarmútil všetkých vás.

6 (CPDV) Let this rebuke be sufficient for someone like this, for it has been brought by many.
6 (ROH) Dosť je takému tohoto pokarhania, ktorého sa mu dostalo od mnohých,

7 (CPDV) So then, to the contrary, you should be more forgiving and consoling, lest perhaps someone like this may be overwhelmed with excessive sorrow.
7 (ROH) takže už máte, naopak, radšej odpustiť a potešiť, aby zase prílišným zármutkom nebol taký človek pohltený.

8 (CPDV) Because of this, I beg you to confirm your charity toward him.
8 (ROH) Preto vás prosím, žeby ste mu preukázali lásku.

9 (CPDV) It was for this reason, also, that I wrote, so that I might know, by testing you, whether you would be obedient in all things.
9 (ROH) Lebo na to som aj písal, aby som poznal vašu dokázanosť, či ste poslušní ku všetkému.

10 (CPDV) But anyone whom you have forgiven of anything, I also forgive. And then, too, anyone I have forgiven, if I have forgiven anything, it was done in the person of Christ for your sakes,
10 (ROH) A komu čo odpúšťate, i ja; lebo i ja, čo som odpustil, ak som čo odpustil, urobil som to pre vás, pred tvárou Krista, aby ste neboli oklamaní od satana,

11 (CPDV) so that we would not be circumvented by Satan. For we are not ignorant of his intentions.
11 (ROH) lebo nie sú nám neznáme jeho úmysly.

12 (CPDV) And when I had arrived at Troas, because of the Gospel of Christ, and a door had opened to me in the Lord,
12 (ROH) A keď som prišiel do Troady cieľom evanjelia Kristovho, hoci som mal otvorené dvere v Pánovi, nemal som oddychu vo svojom duchu, keď som nenašiel svojho brata Títa.

13 (CPDV) I had no rest within my spirit, because I was not able to find Titus, my brother. So, saying goodbye to them, I set out for Macedonia.
13 (ROH) Ale rozlúčiac sa s nimi odišiel som do Macedonie.

14 (CPDV) But thanks be to God, who always brings triumph to us in Christ Jesus, and who manifests the fragrance of his knowledge through us in every place.
14 (ROH) No, vďaka Bohu, ktorý nám dáva vždycky víťazosláviť v Kristu a zjavuje skrze nás vôňu svojej známosti na každom mieste.

15 (CPDV) For we are the sweet fragrance of Christ for God, both with those who are being saved and with those who are perishing.
15 (ROH) Lebo sme Kristovou dobrou vôňou Bohu medzi tými, ktorí dochádzajú spasenia, i medzi tými, ktorí hynú,

16 (CPDV) To the one, certainly, the fragrance is of death unto death. But to the other, the fragrance is of life unto life. And concerning these things, who is so suitable?
16 (ROH) ktorým vôňou smrti na smrť, a ktorým vôňou života na život. Ale na to kto je spôsobný?!

17 (CPDV) For we are not like many others, adulterating the Word of God. 665 But instead, we speak with sincerity: from God, before God, and in Christ.
17 (ROH) Lebo nefalšujeme slova Božieho jako mnohí, ale jako takí, ktorí z mravnej čistoty, jako takí, ktorí z Boha pred Bohom v Kristu hovoríme.

Verš 16

To the one, certainly, the fragrance is of death unto death. But to the other, the fragrance is of life unto life. And concerning these things, who is so suitable?

Lk 2:34 - And Simeon blessed them, and he said to his mother Mary: “Behold, this one has been set for the ruin and for the resurrection of many in Israel, and as a sign which will be contradicted.

Verš 3

And so, I wrote this same thing to you, so that I might not, when I arrive, add sorrow to sorrow for those with whom I ought to rejoice, having confidence in you in all things, so that my joy may be entirely yours.

2Kor 8:22 - And we have also sent with them our brother, whom we have proven to be frequently solicitous in many matters. But now there is a greater solicitousness, which is greatly entrusted to you;

Gal 5:10 - I have confidence in you, in the Lord, that you will accept nothing of the kind. However, he who disturbs you shall bear the judgment, whomever he may be.

And when I had arrived at Troas, because of the Gospel of Christ, and a door had opened to me in the Lord,

Sk 16:8 - Then, when they had crossed through Mysia, they descended to Troas.

Verš 14

But thanks be to God, who always brings triumph to us in Christ Jesus, and who manifests the fragrance of his knowledge through us in every place.

Kol 1:27 - To them, God willed to made known the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ and the hope of his glory within you.

Verš 6

Let this rebuke be sufficient for someone like this, for it has been brought by many.

1Kor 5:3 - Certainly, though absent in body, I am present in spirit. Thus, I have already judged, as if I were present, him who has done this.
