Now the parable is this: The seed is the word (o. logos) of God.

"They on the rock are they, which, when they hear, receive the word (o. logos) with joy; and these have no root, which for a while believe, and in time of temptation fall away. "

And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection.

And they arrived at the country of the Gadarenes, which is opposite to Galilee.

Lk 8,1-3 - Túto správu o ženách má iba Lukáš. Chce tým zdôrazniť - proti židovskému chápaniu -, že žena je v Božích očiach rovnocenná s mužom. Oceňuje služby, ktoré vykonávali ženy okolo Ježiša a jeho učeníkov pre Božie kráľovstvo.

Lk 8,27 - Pozri poznámku k Mk 5, 2. Mt hovorí o dvoch posadnutých, Lk a Mk iba o jednom. Podľa tradičnej mienky robia to pravdepodobne preto, že iba jeden z uzdravených sa hlásil u Ježiša, aby sa mohol stať jeho učeníkom, a tak evanjelisti Mk a Lk si všímajú iba jeho.
