1Jn 2, 1-29

1 My little sons, this I write to you, so that you may not sin. But if anyone has sinned, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ, the Just One. 2 And he is the propitiation for our sins. And not only for our sins, but also for those of the whole world. 3 And we can be sure that we have known him by this: if we observe his commandments. 4 Whoever claims that he knows him, and yet does not keep his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. 5 But whoever keeps his word, truly in him the charity of God is perfected. And by this we know that we are in him. 6 Whoever declares himself to remain in him, ought to walk just as he himself walked. 7 Most beloved, I am not writing to you a new commandment, but the old commandment, which you had from the beginning. The old commandment is the Word, which you have heard. 8 Then too, I am writing to you a new commandment, which is the Truth in him and in you. For the darkness has passed away, and the true Light is now shining. 9 Whoever declares himself to be in the light, and yet hates his brother, is in the darkness even now. 10 Whoever loves his brother abides in the light, and there is no cause of offense in him. 11 But whoever hates his brother is in the darkness, and in darkness he walks, and he does not know where he is going. For the darkness has blinded his eyes. 12 I am writing to you, little sons, because your sins are forgiven for the sake of his 696 name. 13 I am writing to you, fathers, because you have known him who is from the beginning. I am writing to you, adolescents, because you have overcome the evil one. 14 I am writing to you, little children, because you have known the Father. I am writing to you, young men, because you are strong, and the Word of God abides in you, and you have overcome the evil one. 15 Do not choose to love the world, nor the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, the charity of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world is the desire of the flesh, and the desire of the eyes, and the arrogance of a life which is not of the Father, but is of the world. 17 And the world is passing away, with its desire. But whoever does the will of God abides unto eternity. 18 Little sons, it is the last hour. And, as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, so now many antichrists have arrived. By this, we know that it is the last hour. 19 They went out from among us, but they were not of us. For, if they had been of us, certainly they would have remained with us. But in this way, it is made manifest that none of them are of us. 20 Yet you have the anointing of the Holy One, and you know everything. 21 I have not written to you as to ones who are ignorant of the truth, but as to ones who know the truth. For no lie is of the truth. 22 Who is a liar, other than he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This one is the Antichrist, who denies the Father and the Son. 23 No one who denies the Son also has the Father. Whoever confesses the Son, also has the Father. 24 As for you, let what you have heard from the beginning remain in you. If what you have heard from the beginning remains in you, then you, too, shall abide in the Son and in the Father. 25 And this is the Promise, which he himself has promised to us: Eternal Life. 26 I have written these things to you, because of those who would seduce you. 27 But as for you, let the Anointing that you have received from him abide in you. And so, you have no need of anyone to teach you. For his Anointing teaches you about everything, and it is the truth, and it is not a lie. And just as his Anointing has taught you, abide in him. 28 And now, little sons, abide in him, so that when he appears, we may have faith, and we may not be confounded by him at his advent. 29 If you know that he is just, then know, too, that all who do what is just are born of him.

1Jn 2, 1-29

Verš 1
My little sons, this I write to you, so that you may not sin. But if anyone has sinned, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ, the Just One.
1Tim 2:5 - For there is one God, and one mediator of God and of men, the man Christ Jesus,
Heb 7:25 - And for this reason, he is able, continuously, to save those who approach God through him, since he is ever alive to make 687 intercession on our behalf.

Verš 2
And he is the propitiation for our sins. And not only for our sins, but also for those of the whole world.
Rim 3:25 - whom God has offered as a propitiation, through faith in his blood, to reveal his justice for the remission of the former offenses,
2Kor 5:18 - But all is of God, who has reconciled us to himself through Christ, and who has given us the ministry of reconciliation.
Kol 1:20 - and that, through him, all things be reconciled to himself, making peace through the blood of his cross, for the things that are on earth, as well as the things that are in heaven.
1Jn 4:10 - In this is love: not as if we had loved God, but that he first loved us, and so he sent his Son as a propitiation for our sins.
Jn 4:42 - And they said to the woman: “Now we believe, not because of your speech, but because we ourselves have heard him, and so we know that he is truly the Savior of the world.”
1Jn 4:14 - And we have seen, and we testify, that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world.

Verš 4
Whoever claims that he knows him, and yet does not keep his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
1Jn 4:20 - If anyone says that he loves God, but hates his brother, then he is a liar. For he who does not love his brother, whom he does see, in what way can he love God, whom he does not see?

Verš 5
But whoever keeps his word, truly in him the charity of God is perfected. And by this we know that we are in him.
Jn 13:35 - By this, all shall recognize that you are my disciples: if you will have love for one another.”

Verš 6
Whoever declares himself to remain in him, ought to walk just as he himself walked.
Jn 13:15 - For I have given you an example, so that just as I have done for you, so also should you do.
1Pt 2:21 - For you have been called to this because Christ also suffered for us, leaving you an example, so that you would follow in his footsteps.

Verš 7
Most beloved, I am not writing to you a new commandment, but the old commandment, which you had from the beginning. The old commandment is the Word, which you have heard.
2Jn 1:5 - And now I petition you, Lady, not as if writing a new commandment to you, but instead that commandment which we have had from the beginning: that we love one another.

Verš 8
Then too, I am writing to you a new commandment, which is the Truth in him and in you. For the darkness has passed away, and the true Light is now shining.
Jn 13:34 - I give you a new commandment: Love one another. Just as I have loved you, so also must you love one another.
Jn 15:12 - This is my precept: that you love one another, just as I have loved you.

Verš 10
Whoever loves his brother abides in the light, and there is no cause of offense in him.
1Jn 3:14 - We know that we have passed from death to life. For we love as brothers. Whoever does not love, abides in death.
Jn 12:35 - Therefore, Jesus said to them: “For a brief time, the Light is among you. Walk while you have the Light, so that the darkness may not overtake you. But whoever walks in darkness does not know where is he going.

Verš 12
I am writing to you, little sons, because your sins are forgiven for the sake of his 696 name.
Lk 24:47 - and, in his name, for repentance and the remission of sins to be preached, among all the nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
Sk 4:12 - And there is no salvation in any other. For there is no other name under heaven given to men, by which it is necessary for us to be saved.”
Sk 13:38 - Therefore, let it be known to you, noble brothers, that through him is announced to you remission from sins and from everything by which you were not able to be justified in the law of Moses.

Verš 15
Do not choose to love the world, nor the things that are in the world. If anyone loves the world, the charity of the Father is not in him.
Rim 12:2 - And do not choose to be conformed to this age, but instead choose to be reformed in the newness of your mind, so that you may demonstrate what is the will of God: what is good, and what is well-pleasing, and what is perfect.
Gal 1:10 - For am I now persuading men, or God? Or, am I seeking to please men? If I still were pleasing men, then I would not be a servant of Christ.
Jak 4:4 - You adulterers! Do you not know that the friendship of this world is hostile to God? Therefore, whoever has chosen to be a friend of this world has been made into an enemy of God.

Verš 17
And the world is passing away, with its desire. But whoever does the will of God abides unto eternity.
Ž 90:10 - Disaster will not draw near to you, and the scourge will not approach your tabernacle.
Iz 40:6 - The voice of one saying, “Cry out!” And I said, “What should I cry out?” “All flesh is grass, and all its glory is like the flower of the field.
1Kor 7:31 - and those who use the things of this world, as if they were not using them. For the figure of this world is passing away.
Jak 1:10 - and a rich one, in his humiliation, for he will pass away like the flower of the grass.
Jak 4:14 - consider that you do not know what will be tomorrow.
1Pt 1:24 - For all flesh is like the grass and all its glory is like the flower of the grass. The grass withers and its flower falls away.

Verš 18
Little sons, it is the last hour. And, as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, so now many antichrists have arrived. By this, we know that it is the last hour.
Mt 24:5 - For many will come in my name saying, ‘I am the Christ.’ And they will lead many astray.
2Sol 2:3 - Let no one deceive you in any way. For this cannot be, unless the apostasy will have arrived first, and the man of sin will have been revealed, the son of perdition,

Verš 19
They went out from among us, but they were not of us. For, if they had been of us, certainly they would have remained with us. But in this way, it is made manifest that none of them are of us.
Ž 41:9 - In the daylight, the Lord has ordered his mercy; and in the night, a canticle to him. With me is a prayer to the God of my life.
Sk 20:30 - And from among yourselves, men will rise up, speaking perverse things in order to entice disciples after them.
1Kor 11:19 - For there must also be heresies, so that those who have been tested may be made manifest among you.

Verš 20
Yet you have the anointing of the Holy One, and you know everything.
Ž 45:7 - The peoples have been disturbed, and the kingdoms have been bowed down. He uttered his voice: the earth has been moved.

Heb 1:9 - You have loved justice, and you have hated iniquity. Because of this, God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of exultation, above your companions.”

Verš 23
No one who denies the Son also has the Father. Whoever confesses the Son, also has the Father.
Lk 12:9 - But everyone who will have denied me before men, he will be denied before the Angels of God.
2Tim 2:12 - If we suffer, we will also reign with him. If we deny him, he will also deny us.

Verš 27
But as for you, let the Anointing that you have received from him abide in you. And so, you have no need of anyone to teach you. For his Anointing teaches you about everything, and it is the truth, and it is not a lie. And just as his Anointing has taught you, abide in him.
Jer 31:34 - And they will no longer teach, a man his neighbor, and a man his brother, saying: ‘Know the Lord.’ For all will know me, from the littlest of them even to the greatest, says the Lord. For I will forgive their iniquity, and I will no longer remember their sin.
Heb 8:11 - And they will not teach, each one his neighbor, and each one his brother, saying: ‘Know the Lord.’ For all shall know me, from the least, even to the greatest of them.

Verš 28
And now, little sons, abide in him, so that when he appears, we may have faith, and we may not be confounded by him at his advent.
Mk 8:38 - For whoever has been ashamed of me and of my words, among this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of man also will be ashamed of him, when he will arrive in the glory of his Father, with the holy Angels.”
1Jn 3:2 - Most beloved, we are now the sons of God. But what we shall be then has not yet appeared. We know that when he does appear, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.
