Gal 2, 1-21

1 Then fourteen years after I went up again to Jerusalem with Barnabas, and took Titus with me also. 2 And I went up by revelation, and communicated unto them that gospel which I preach among the Gentiles, but privately to them which were of reputation, lest by any means I should run, or had run, in vain. 3 But neither Titus, who was with me, being a Greek, was compelled to be circumcised: 4 And that because of false brethren unexpectedly brought in, who came in privately to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage: 5 "To whom we gave place by subjection, no, not for an hour; that the truth of the gospel might continue with you. " 6 But of these who seemed to be somewhat, (whatsoever they were, it makes no matter to me: God accepts no man's person:) for they who seemed to be somewhat in conference added nothing to me: 7 "But contrariwise, when they saw that the gospel of the uncircumcision was committed unto me, as the gospel of the circumcision was unto Peter; " 8 (For he that wrought effectually in Peter to the apostleship of the circumcision, the same was mighty in me toward the Gentiles:) 9 "And when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that was given unto me, they gave to me and Barnabas the right hands of fellowship; that we should go unto the heathen, and they unto the circumcision. " 10 "Only they would that we should remember the poor; the same which I also was forward to do. " 11 But when Peter was come to Antioch, I withstood him to the face, because he was to be blamed. 12 For before that certain came from James, he did eat with the Gentiles: but when they were come, he withdrew and separated himself, fearing them which were of the circumcision. 13 "And the other Jews dissembled likewise with him; insomuch that Barnabas also was carried away with their dissimulation. " 14 But when I saw that they walked not uprightly according to the truth of the gospel, I said unto Peter before them all, If you, being a Jew, live after the manner of Gentiles, and not as do the Jews, why compell you the Gentiles to live as do the Jews? 15 We who are Jews by nature, and not sinners of the Gentiles, 16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified. 17 But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid. 18 For if I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor. 19 For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God. 20 "I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ lives in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. " 21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.

Gal 2, 1-21

Verš 1
Then fourteen years after I went up again to Jerusalem with Barnabas, and took Titus with me also.
Sk 15:2 - When therefore Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and disputation with them, they determined that Paul and Barnabas, and certain other of them, should go up to Jerusalem unto the apostles and elders about this question.

Verš 2
And I went up by revelation, and communicated unto them that gospel which I preach among the Gentiles, but privately to them which were of reputation, lest by any means I should run, or had run, in vain.
Sk 19:21 - After these things were ended, Paul purposed in the spirit, (o. pneuma) when he had passed through Macedonia and Achaia, to go to Jerusalem, saying, After I have been there, I must also see Rome.

Verš 3
But neither Titus, who was with me, being a Greek, was compelled to be circumcised:
Sk 16:3 - "Him would Paul have to go forth with him; and took and circumcised him because of the Jews which were in those quarters: for they knew all that his father was a Greek. "
1Kor 9:21 - To them that are without law, as without law, (being not without law to God, but under the law to Christ,) that I might gain them that are without law.

Verš 4
And that because of false brethren unexpectedly brought in, who came in privately to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage:
Sk 15:24 - Forasmuch as we have heard, that certain which went out from us have troubled you with words, (o. logos) subverting your souls, saying, All of you must be circumcised, and keep the law: to whom we gave no such commandment:

Verš 6
But of these who seemed to be somewhat, (whatsoever they were, it makes no matter to me: God accepts no man's person:) for they who seemed to be somewhat in conference added nothing to me:
Dt 10:17 - For the LORD your God is God of gods, and Lord of lords, a great God, a mighty, and a terrible, which regards not persons, nor takes reward:
2Krn 19:7 - "Wherefore now let the fear of the LORD be upon you; take heed and do it: for there is no iniquity with the LORD our God, nor respect of persons, nor taking of gifts. "
Jób 34:19 - How much less to him that accepts not the persons of princes, nor regards the rich more than the poor? for they all are the work of his hands.
Sk 10:34 - Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Truthfully I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:
Rim 2:11 - For there is no respect of persons with God.
Ef 6:9 - "And, all of you masters, do the same things unto them, forbearing threatening: knowing that your Master also is in heaven; neither is there respect of persons with him. "
Kol 3:25 - But he that does wrong shall receive for the wrong which he has done: and there is no respect of persons.
1Pt 1:17 - And if all of you call on the Father, who without respect of persons judges according to every man's work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:

Verš 8
(For he that wrought effectually in Peter to the apostleship of the circumcision, the same was mighty in me toward the Gentiles:)
Sk 9:15 - But the Lord said unto him, Go your way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel:
Sk 13:2 - As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Spirit (o. pneuma) said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work unto which I have called them.
Sk 22:21 - And he said unto me, Depart: for I will send you far behind unto the Gentiles.
Gal 1:16 - "To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood: "
Ef 3:8 - "Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ; "

Verš 10
"Only they would that we should remember the poor; the same which I also was forward to do. "
Sk 11:30 - Which also they did, and sent it to the elders by the hands of Barnabas and Saul.
Sk 24:17 - Now after many years I came to bring alms to my nation, and offerings.
Rim 15:25 - But now I go unto Jerusalem to minister unto the saints.
1Kor 16:1 - Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have given order to the churches of Galatia, even so do all of you.
2Kor 8:1 - "Moreover, brethren, we do you to know of the grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia; "
2Kor 9:1 - For as concerning the ministering to the saints, it is superfluous for me to write to you:

Verš 14
But when I saw that they walked not uprightly according to the truth of the gospel, I said unto Peter before them all, If you, being a Jew, live after the manner of Gentiles, and not as do the Jews, why compell you the Gentiles to live as do the Jews?
Sk 10:28 - "And he said unto them, All of you know how that it is an unlawful thing for a man that is a Jew to keep company, or come unto one of another nation; but God has showed me that I should not call any man common or unclean. "

Verš 16
Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
Sk 13:38 - Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins:
Rim 3:28 - Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law.
Rim 8:3 - For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
Heb 7:18 - For there is verily a disannulling of the commandment going before for the weakness and unprofitableness thereof.
Rim 3:20 - Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
Gal 3:11 - But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.

Verš 19
For I through the law am dead to the law, that I might live unto God.
Rim 7:4 - "Wherefore, my brethren, all of you also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that all of you should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God. "
Rim 14:7 - For none of us lives to himself, and no man dies to himself.
2Kor 5:15 - And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.
1Sol 5:10 - Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.
Heb 9:14 - How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit (o. pneuma) offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
1Pt 4:2 - That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.

Verš 20
"I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ lives in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. "
Gal 1:4 - Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father:
Ef 5:2 - And walk in love, (o. agape) as Christ also has loved us, and has given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet smelling savour.
Tít 2:14 - Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself an exclusive people, zealous of good works.

Verš 21
I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.
Heb 7:11 - If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need was there that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron?

Gal 2,1-9 - Porov. Sk 15.

Rim 7, 4; 6, 6; 8, 3–4).
