1Kor 8, 1-13

1 Now concerning those things that are sacrificed to idols: we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffs up, but charity builds up. 2 But if anyone considers himself to know anything, he does not yet know in the way that he ought to know. 3 For if anyone loves God, he is known by him. 4 But as to the foods that are immolated to idols, we know that an idol in the world is nothing, and that no one is God, except One. 5 For although there are things that are called gods, whether in heaven or on earth, (if one even considers there to be many gods and many lords) 6 yet we know that there is only one God, the Father, from whom all things are, and in whom we are, and one Lord Jesus Christ, through whom all things are, and by whom we are. 7 But knowledge is not in everyone. For some persons, even now, with consent to an idol, eat what has been sacrificed to an idol. And their conscience, being infirm, becomes polluted. 8 Yet food does not commend us to God. For if we eat, we will not have more, and if we do not eat, we will not have less. 9 But be careful not to let your liberty become a cause of sin to those who are weak. 10 For if anyone sees someone with knowledge sitting down to eat in idolatry, will not his own conscience, being infirm, be emboldened to eat what has been sacrificed to idols? 11 And should an infirm brother perish by your knowledge, even though Christ died for him? 12 So when you sin in this way against the brothers, and you harm their weakened conscience, then you sin against Christ. 13 Because of this, if food leads my brother to sin, I will never eat meat, lest I lead my brother to sin.

1Kor 8, 1-13

Verš 4
But as to the foods that are immolated to idols, we know that an idol in the world is nothing, and that no one is God, except One.
Rim 14:14 - I know, with confidence in the Lord Jesus, that nothing is unclean in and of itself. But to him who considers anything to be unclean, it is unclean to him.
1Kor 10:19 - What is next? Should I say that what is immolated to idols is anything? Or that the idol is anything?
Dt 4:39 - Therefore, know on this day and consider in your heart, that the Lord himself is God in heaven above, and on earth below, and 98 there is no other.
Ef 4:6 - one God and Father of all, who is over all, and through all, and in us all.

Verš 6
yet we know that there is only one God, the Father, from whom all things are, and in whom we are, and one Lord Jesus Christ, through whom all things are, and by whom we are.
Mal 2:10 - Is there not one Father of us all? Did not one God create us? Why, then, does each one of us despise his brother, violating the covenant of our fathers?
Ef 4:6 - one God and Father of all, who is over all, and through all, and in us all.
Rim 11:36 - For from him, and through him, and in him are all things. To him is glory, for all eternity. Amen.
Jn 13:13 - You call me Teacher and Lord, and you speak well: for so I am.
1Kor 12:3 - Because of this, I would have you know that no one speaking in the Spirit of God utters a curse against Jesus. And no one is able to say that Jesus is Lord, except in the Holy Spirit.
Flp 2:11 - and so that every tongue would confess that the Lord Jesus Christ is in the glory of God the Father.

Verš 7
But knowledge is not in everyone. For some persons, even now, with consent to an idol, eat what has been sacrificed to an idol. And their conscience, being infirm, becomes polluted.
1Kor 10:28 - But if anyone says, “This has been sacrificed to idols,” do not eat it, for the sake of the one who told you, and for the sake of conscience.

Verš 8
Yet food does not commend us to God. For if we eat, we will not have more, and if we do not eat, we will not have less.
Rim 14:17 - For the kingdom of God is not food and drink, but rather justice and peace and joy, in the Holy Spirit.

Verš 9
But be careful not to let your liberty become a cause of sin to those who are weak.
Gal 5:13 - For you, brothers, have been called to liberty. Only you must not make liberty into an occasion for the flesh, but instead, serve one another through the charity of the Spirit.

Verš 11
And should an infirm brother perish by your knowledge, even though Christ died for him?
Rim 14:15 - For if your brother is grieved because of your food, you are not now walking according to love. Do not allow your food to destroy him for whom Christ died.

Verš 13
Because of this, if food leads my brother to sin, I will never eat meat, lest I lead my brother to sin.
Rim 14:21 - It is good to refrain from eating meat and from drinking wine, and from anything by which your brother is offended, or led astray, or weakened.
2Kor 11:29 - Who is weak, and I am not weak? Who is scandalized, and I am not being burned?
