1 Dan 12, 1 And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which stands for the children of your people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time your people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book. 2 Dan 12, 2 And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. 3 Dan 12, 3 "And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever. " 4 Dan 12, 4 But you, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run back and forth, and knowledge shall be increased. 5 Dan 12, 5 Then I Daniel looked, and, behold, there stood other two, the one on this side of the bank of the river, and the other on that side of the bank of the river. 6 Dan 12, 6 And one said to the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, How long shall it be to the end of these wonders? 7 Dan 12, 7 "And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and swore by him that lives for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished. " 8 Dan 12, 8 And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things? 9 Dan 12, 9 And he said, Go your way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end. 10 Dan 12, 10 "Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand. " 11 Dan 12, 11 And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that makes desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days. 12 Dan 12, 12 Blessed is he that waits, and comes to the thousand three hundred and five and thirty days. 13 Dan 12, 13 But go you your way till the end be: for you shall rest, and stand in your lot at the end of the days.

Verš 2
And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
Mt 25:46 - And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.
Jn 5:29 - "And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation. "
Verš 3
"And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever. "
Mt 13:43 - Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who has ears to hear, let him hear.
Verš 6
And one said to the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, How long shall it be to the end of these wonders?
Dan 10:5 - Then I lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and behold a certain man clothed in linen, whose loins were girded with fine gold of Uphaz:
Verš 7
"And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and swore by him that lives for ever that it shall be for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished. "
Zjv 10:5 - And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven,
Dan 12,1 - Anjel strážca Izraelitov, Michal, príde im v prenasledovaní na pomoc. Porov. 10,21; 2 Mach 3,25–29; 10,29–30; 11,8; 15,23. – Druhá časť verša hovorí už o úzkostiach a oslobodení spravodlivých na konci sveta. O podobnom spájaní bližších a ďalších budúcich udalostí pozri celkový úvod o prorockých spisoch. O knihe života pozri pozn. k Iz 4,3 a porov.
2 Sol 2,4). – Význam čísla 1 335 je nám neznámy; nevieme, čo znamená 45 dní (1 335 – 1 290=45).
Dan 12,13 - Danielovi sa sľubuje pokojná smrť a slávne zmŕtvychvstanie.
