Ex 4:25 - Then Zipporah took a sharp stone, and cut off the foreskin of her son, and cast it at his feet, and said, Surely a bloody husband art thou to me.
Verš 11
And they did eat of the old corn of the land on the morrow after the passover, unleavened cakes, and parched corn in the selfsame day.
Ex 12:39 - And they baked unleavened cakes of the dough which they brought forth out of Egypt, for it was not leavened; because they were thrust out of Egypt, and could not tarry, neither had they prepared for themselves any victual.
Lv 2:14 - And if thou offer a meat offering of thy firstfruits unto the LORD, thou shalt offer for the meat offering of thy firstfruits green ears of corn dried by the fire, even corn beaten out of full ears.
Verš 10
And the children of Israel encamped in Gilgal, and kept the passover on the fourteenth day of the month at even in the plains of Jericho.
Ex 12:6 - And ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening.
Verš 6
For the children of Israel walked forty years in the wilderness, till all the people that were men of war, which came out of Egypt, were consumed, because they obeyed not the voice of the LORD: unto whom the LORD sware that he would not shew them the land, which the LORD sware unto their fathers that he would give us, a land that floweth with milk and honey.
Nm 14:23 - Surely they shall not see the land which I sware unto their fathers, neither shall any of them that provoked me see it:
Verš 13
And it came to pass, when Joshua was by Jericho, that he lifted up his eyes and looked, and, behold, there stood a man over against him with his sword drawn in his hand: and Joshua went unto him, and said unto him, Art thou for us, or for our adversaries?
Ex 23:23 - For mine Angel shall go before thee, and bring thee in unto the Amorites, and the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Canaanites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites: and I will cut them off.
Joz 5,1 - Pôvodné obyvateľstvo Palestíny je tu zadelené do dvoch skupín: 1. Emorejčania (Amorejčania), obývali prevažne horské kraje, a 2.
Joz 5,9 - Egyptská potupa – pod týmto termínom možno rozumieť egyptské otroctvo, z ktorého boli Izraeliti teraz definitívne vyslobodení, nakoľko už vkročili do zasľúbenej zeme a skrze právoplatnú obriezku sa stali zas vlastníctvom Božím. Gilgál súvisí so slovesom galal ,váľať') – akoby ,odvalenie', t. j. egyptskej potupy.
Joz 5,10 - Podľa Ex 12,6 má sa sláviť Pascha (Veľká noc) dňa 14. nisana. Cez Jordán prešli do Galgaly 10. nisana a 14. nisana slávili Paschu.
Joz 5,16 - "Vodca Pánovho vojska" – Boží anjel, ktorý povzbudzoval Mojžiša z horiaceho kríka, teraz predstupuje pred Jozueho ako bojovník, aby ho po- vzbudil a dodal mu odvahy do nastávajúcich bojov.
