Oz 1, 1-11

1 (UKJV) The word of the LORD that came unto Hosea, the son of Beeri, in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash, king of Israel.
1 (KAT) Slovo Pánovo, ktoré prehovoril k Ozeášovi, synovi Bériho, v dňoch júdskych kráľov Oziáša, Joatama, Achaza a Ezechiáša a v dňoch izraelského kráľa Jeroboama, syna Joasovho.
1 (ROH) Slovo Hospodinovo, ktoré sa stalo k Hozeášovi, synovi Bériho, za dní Uziáša, Jotáma, Achaza a Ezechiáša, kráľov Júdových a za dní Jeroboáma, syna Joasa, kráľa Izraelovho.

2 (UKJV) The beginning of the word of the LORD by Hosea. And the LORD said to Hosea, Go, take unto you a wife of whoredoms and children of whoredoms: for the land has committed great whoredom, departing from the LORD.
2 (KAT) Začiatok Pánovej reči k Ozeášovi. Pán riekol Ozeášovi: „Vezmi si smilnú ženu a deti zo smilstva, lebo smilstvom sa odvracia krajina od Pána.“
2 (ROH) Na počiatku, keď hovoril Hospodin Hozeášom, riekol Hospodin Hozeášovi: Idi, vezmi si ženu, kleslú do smilstva, a deti zo smilstva, lebo nestudate smilní táto zem nenasledujúc Hospodina.

3 (UKJV) "So he went and took Gomer the daughter of Diblaim; which conceived, and bare him a son. "
3 (KAT) Išiel teda a vzal si Gomeru, dcéru Debelaima. Ona počala a porodila mu syna.
3 (ROH) A Išiel a vzal si Gomer, dcéru Diblaima, a počnúc porodila mu syna.

4 (UKJV) "And the LORD said unto him, Call his name Jezreel; for yet a little while, and I will avenge the blood of Jezreel upon the house of Jehu, and will cause to cease the kingdom of the house of Israel. "
4 (KAT) Vtedy mu Pán hovoril: „Daj mu meno Jezrael, lebo ešte chvíľočku a strescem krvnú vinu Jezraela na Jehuovom dome a zruším kráľovstvo domu Izraela.
4 (ROH) A Hospodin mu riekol: Nazvi jeho meno Jizreel, lebo ešte niečo málo, a navštívim krv Jizreela na dome Jehu-va a učiním prietrž kráľovstvu domu Izraelovho.

5 (UKJV) And it shall come to pass at that day, that I will break the bow of Israel, in the valley of Jezreel.
5 (KAT) V ten deň dolámem kušu Izraela v jezraelskom údolí.“
5 (ROH) A stane sa toho dňa, že polámem lučište Izraelovo v údolí Jizreela.

6 (UKJV) "And she conceived again, and bare a daughter. And God said unto him, Call her name Loruhamah: for I will no more have mercy upon the house of Israel; but I will utterly take them away. "
6 (KAT) I počala znovu a porodila dcéru. Vtedy mu riekol: „Daj jej meno Neomilostená, lebo už viac neomilostím dom Izraela, žeby som im celkom odpustil.
6 (ROH) A zase počala a porodila dcéru. A riekol mu: Nazvi jej meno: Ló-rucháma , lebo sa už viacej nezľutujem nad domom Izraelovým, aby som im niečo odpustil.

7 (UKJV) But I will have mercy upon the house of Judah, and will save them by the LORD their God, and will not save them by bow, nor by sword, nor by battle, by horses, nor by horsemen.
7 (KAT) Dom Júdov však omilostím a zachránim ich ako Pán, ich Boh, ale nezachránim ich kušou, mečom, zbrojou vojenskou, ani koňmi, ani jazdcami.“
7 (ROH) Ale sa zľutujem nad domom Júdovým a zachránim ich Hospodinom, ich Bohom, a nezachránim ich lučišťom ani mečom ani vojnou, koňmi alebo jazdcami.

8 (UKJV) Now when she had weaned Loruhamah, she conceived, and bare a son.
8 (KAT) I oddojčila Neomilostenú; potom počala a porodila syna.
8 (ROH) A keď odlúčila Ló-ruchámu, počala a porodila syna.

9 (UKJV) Then said God, Call his name Loammi: for all of you are not my people, and I will not be your God.
9 (KAT) Vtedy hovoril: „Daj mu meno Nie môj ľud, lebo vy nie ste môj ľud a ja nebudem váš.
9 (ROH) A riekol: Nazvi jeho meno Ló-ammi , lebo vy nie ste mojím ľudom, a ja nebudem vaším Bohom.

10 (UKJV) "Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered; and it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, All of you are not my people, there it shall be said unto them, All of you are the sons of the living God. "
10 ----
10 (ROH) Avšak bude počet synov Izraelových ako piesku mora, ktorý sa nedá ani zmerať ani spočítať, a stane sa, že na mieste, kde im bolo povedané: Vy nie ste mojím ľudom, povie sa im: Synovia silného Boha živého.

11 (UKJV) Then shall the children of Judah and the children of Israel be gathered together, and appoint themselves one head, and they shall come up out of the land: for great shall be the day of Jezreel.
11 ----
11 (ROH) A synovia Júdovi a synovia Izraelovi budú shromaždení dovedna, a ustanovia si jednu hlavu a vyjdú hore zo zeme, lebo veľký bude deň Jizreela.

Verš 10

"Yet the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which cannot be measured nor numbered; and it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, All of you are not my people, there it shall be said unto them, All of you are the sons of the living God. "

Gn 32:12 - And you said, I will surely do you good, and make your seed as the sand of the sea, which cannot be numbered for multitude.

Rim 9:25 - "As he says also in Osee, I will call them my people, which were not my people; and her beloved, which was not beloved. "

Verš 11

Then shall the children of Judah and the children of Israel be gathered together, and appoint themselves one head, and they shall come up out of the land: for great shall be the day of Jezreel.

Iz 11:13 - The envy also of Ephraim shall depart, and the adversaries of Judah shall be cut off: Ephraim shall not envy Judah, and Judah shall not vex Ephraim.

Jer 3:18 - In those days the house of Judah shall walk with the house of Israel, and they shall come together out of the land of the north to the land that I have given for an inheritance unto your fathers.

Ez 37:16 - Moreover, you son of man, take you one stick, and write upon it, For Judah, and for the children of Israel his companions: then take another stick, and write upon it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim and for all the house of Israel his companions:

Ez 37:22 - "And I will make them one nation in the land upon the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to them all: and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all. "

Ef 2:14 - "For he is our peace, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of partition between us; "

Oz 1,1 - O Ozeášovi, o jeho otcovi Bérim a o júdskych a izraelských kráľoch Ozeášovej doby pozri úvod o tomto prorokovi.

Oz 1,2 - Pomer Boha k Izraelu zvýrazňuje sa obrazom manželstva; pozri pozn. k Iz 50,1 n. Prorok Ozeáš svojím manželstvom má naznačovať milosrdenstvo Pána, ktorý po prechode cez Červené more na hore Sinaj uzavrel s národom manželskú zmluvu, hoci národ už v Egypte, pred uzavretím zmluvy, páchal modloslužbu. Dietky – Izraeliti – nie sú lepší než ich matka. Smilstvom a cudzoložstvom sa volá modloslužba, lebo touto pácha národ nevernosť k Pánovi.

Oz 1,4 - Jezrael bola úrodná rovina na území kmeňa Isachar. Na východnom kraji tejto roviny ležalo mesto toho istého mena (neskoršie sa volalo aj Esdrelon). Tu spáchal Achab a jeho manželka Jezabel hrozný zločin na Nabotovi, preto – podľa proroctva Eliášovho (1 Kr 21) – na tom istom mieste vyhubil Jehu dom Achabov (2 Kr 9,24 – 10,11). Dynastia Jehuova, ktorá v časoch Ozeášových panovala v Severnej ríši, nebola o nič lepšia, preto sa aj jej vina volá vinou Jezraela. Prorok predpovedá zánik Jehuovho domu, čo sa splnilo, keď Selum zavraždil posledného kráľa z toho domu r. 743 (2 Kr 15,10); súčasne však predpovedá aj zánik celej Severnej ríše. Ríša zanikla v 722/21 pr. Kr. – Meno Ozeášovho syna bolo teda symbolické.

Oz 1,6-9 - Meno druhého dieťaťa znamená už pre národ stratu Božej lásky, meno tretieho rozviazanie zmluvy, ktorú Boh s Izraelom uzavrel, teda úplné zavrhnutie národa. Predpoveď v. 7, ktorý mnohí pokladajú za neskorší dodatok, splnila sa v r. 701, keď Boh zázračne zachránil Jeruzalem; pozri 2 Kr 19,34; Iz hl. 36 – 37.
