1 (UKJV) "Lord, I cry unto you: make haste unto me; give ear unto my voice, when I cry unto you. "
1 (ROH) Žalm Dávidov. Hospodine, volám na teba! Ponáhľaj sa mi na pomoc! Počuj môj hlas, keď volám k tebe!
2 (UKJV) "Let my prayer be set forth before you as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice. "
2 (ROH) Nech stojí moja modlitba pred tebou jako kadivo, pozdvihnutie mojich rúk ako večerná obeť.
3 (UKJV) "Set a watch, O LORD, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips. "
3 (ROH) Postav, Hospodine, mojim ústam stráž! Strež dvere mojich rtov!
4 (UKJV) Incline not my heart to any evil thing, to practice wicked works with men that work iniquity: and let me not eat of their dainties.
4 (ROH) Nedaj, aby sa moje srdce naklonilo k zlej veci, robiť bezbožné skutky s mužmi, páchajúcimi neprávosť, a aby som nejedol z ich lakôt.
5 (UKJV) "Let the righteous strike me; it shall be a kindness: and let him reprove me; it shall be an excellent oil, which shall not break my head: for yet my prayer also shall be in their calamities. "
5 (ROH) Nech ma tlčie spravedlivý, bude to milosť, a nech ma tresce; to olej na hlavu; nech neodoprie moja hlava. Lebo kým len trvám, moja modlitba bude vždy proti ich rôznej zlosti.
6 (UKJV) "When their judges are overthrown in stony places, they shall hear my words; for they are sweet. "
6 (ROH) Ich sudcovia budú pometaní medzi skaly, a ľudia počujú moje slová, lebo sú ľúbezné.
7 (UKJV) Our bones are scattered at the grave's mouth, as when one cuts and cleaves wood upon the earth.
7 (ROH) Jako keď niekto štiepe a kála drevo na zemi, tak sa rozmetávajú naše kosti až k čeľustiu hrobu.
8 (UKJV) "But mine eyes are unto you, O GOD the Lord: in you is my trust; leave not my soul destitute. "
8 (ROH) Lebo k tebe, Hospodine, Pane, sú obrátené moje oči; k tebe sa utiekam; nevylej mojej duše!
9 (UKJV) Keep me from the snares which they have laid for me, and the gins of the workers of iniquity.
9 (ROH) Uchovaj ma od osídla, ktoré mi nadstavili, a od smečiek páchateľov neprávosti.
10 (UKJV) Let the wicked fall into their own nets, whilst that I likewise escape.
10 (ROH) Nech padnú bezbožní, všetci dovedna, každý do svojej slučky, kým ja prejdem.

Ex 29:30 - And that son that is priest in his position shall put them on seven days, when he comes into the tabernacle of the congregation to minister in the holy place.
Zjv 5:8 - And when he had taken the book, the four beasts and four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one of them harps, and golden vials full of odours, which are the prayers of saints.
Zjv 8:3 - "And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne. "

Our bones are scattered at the grave's mouth, as when one cuts and cleaves wood upon the earth.
Ez 37:1 - The hand of the LORD was upon me, and carried me out in the spirit of the LORD, and set me down in the midst of the valley which was full of bones,
Ez 37:11 - Then he said unto me, Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel: behold, they say, Our bones are dried, and our hope is lost: we are cut off for our parts.
Z 141,2 - Okrem celostnej zápalnej obety obetovali aj voňavý kadidlový zápal (Lv 2,1; Ex 30,7-8) na kadidlovom alebo aj zlatom oltári, ktorý stál pred vchodom do svätyne (Ex 30,1; 40,5; 30,6. 34-37). "Pozdvihnutie rúk" je paralelizmus k "modlitbe". Židia sa modlievali s roztiahnutými rukami.
Z 141,6 - Doslovne: "Vedľa skaly boli spustené ich kniežatá"; tieto slová narážajú na nebezpečenstvo, v ktorom sa nachodil Šaul, keď prenasledoval Dávida v jaskynnom teréne v okolí Engadi (1 Sam 24,1-16 alebo 26,8-20). Text je však porušený, preto nie je ani jeden výklad istý.
